So you ignore most of the post and pick the first sentence to reply? Makes a lot of sense.

Why would we give a guy a max contract who is constantly injured. Not just Yao but this goes for anyone. It just doesn't make sense. We want to win rings not win best team with most injured players. When that time comes to resign Yao its going to be a tough decision because of his damn foot. :(

Don't know about you, but when I start to believe that winning a championship is not the top priority for the Rockets owner and GM, I'll probably lose interest in the Rockets until that owner/GM is gone.

I don't care whether Yao can get max or not,
The only thing I do care is Yao should get a CHAMP with Rockets.
    Is it Possible?
    Can I dream this?

Yes ! Get rid of mcgrady, get 1 or 2 decent big men to backup Yao and we are good to go.

I can respond to the rest if you'd really like me to. I feel special today with all this attention!

It's such a good feeling to know you're alive.
It's such a happy feeling: You're growing inside.
And when you wake up ready to say,
"I think I'll make a snappy new day."
It's such a good feeling, a very good feeling,
The feeling you know that we're friends.

Wanna know whats the BEST thing about trading Yao?

The fans that only like the Rockets BECAUSE OF HIM would disappear from this board!

And everything would be back to normal....real Rocket fans who put THE TEAM FIRST and not the player...

and then trade Tracy! Boom! Back to good old discussions, analysis, rationalization and no bashing.

I am on board. Where do I sign up?

qft? qfj (quote for joke) you mean?

sept. 2000 is the time you joined and your member # is 4,616th. so out of over 30k members here, only ~4k was from 1999 or earlier?

will this site have nearly the impact (and profitability, i assume) it has today without all the "non-99ers", no matter if they fall into the "yaf" category and claim if they are "true rockets fans"?

and you are not even an 99-er yourself. lol.

If you want Yao to get a ring then why the hell would you want to get rid of McGrady. The only person on this team who actually looks to pass the ball to Yao first before he does anything else. You YOF need to quit with this get rid of McGrady crap. Downgrading this team is not going to get you to win games. Grow up!!

While I'm not sure my love for the Rockets could rival Max's, more than your wife, really? I will be here long after the membership surge that is Yao Ming has come and gone, assuming I never piss Clutch off of course; and I was lurking before '99 so quote this ish for truth.

I'd like to have a discussion, which would be why you think rockets are better off trading Yao. Not how you feel today or how long you have been a fan. Who do you think the rockets can get trading Yao? And why do you think it's going to make the rockets better? But if you are in the mode of "feeling special" and want to talk about emotions, I'd rather move on.

That's tricky because I certainly would not give Yao away, I'd do it for Derrick Rose and Tyrus Thomas though.
