We are out of the playoffs, and he could be in the starting rotation next year. The smart move is to rest him, and get him ready for next year. His 6-3 record does give me reason to think he has potential to be a solid 3 or 4 starter. His ERA does cause a little concern, but we just gotta wait till next year. Just tryin to pass the news along. Now, we gotta shift gears to football, and soon basketball.
Wouldn't worry to much about the ERA, he had three or four rough starts due to just wearing down but before and after he got some nice rest he was real good. The guy pitched his most innings as a pro so its understandble they want to be careful. If, and its a big if, we can get a #3 starter we can have a really nice rotation next year.
