wow its really going to be hard without Alston but i reckon Brooks and Tmac can hold out but please keep Head away from dribbling the ball but seriously what has happened to Francis it seems like he's like disappeared and last time i heard of him was that he had another cold.

That's too bad that Adelman doesn't figure francis in the equation. He could definitely help us.

Damn, I would love to see Stevie back on the court! Why not RA? If the Rockets moved on without Francis, I could see a trade pretty soon. It seems to be we need a big guy (Center) and a 'third' back-up PG ... maybe we could offer Strawberry a contract until the end of the season?

What makes anyone think that SF is even ready to play? I dont think Rick Adelman hates anyone on this team. I just think that SF simply is not ready to be on the floor during a regular game.

i think steve just needs to get out there. i mean adelman isn't gonna call his number one day and steve isn't gonna immediately impact the game out there. he needs to start slow and be given a chance. against the nuggets w/o rafer is the perfect shot for francis. he needs to get minutes. it sucks how adelman didn't even mention him

I don't care how big of a fan you are, Adelman wants to win more than you do.

If Steve doesn't play it's not because Adelman hates him; it's because he's not ready to play better than the other guys that are available.

There is no history whatsoever of bad blood between Adelman and Francis. This is business and Adelman is a pro. He will play the guys that give him the best chance of winning the game.

Sounds like maybe Les is pushing for Francis to retire early and give him a nice injury exception to avoid LT

“I don’t know,” Adelman said when asked about the point guard rotation. “I really don’t know. It depends on how the game is going. You could see Luther (Head) there, you could see Von (Wafer). I don’t know if Von can play (the point), but you could see him there. You could see Tracy (McGrady) handling the ball.

“I really don’t have an answer for that. I’m just being truthful. We’ll have to see who we’re playing, how we’re playing and what the matchups are.”

Wow, this answer strikes me completly! How the f** does head coach have no idea who is going to play a point?!

There is nothing wrong IMO if RA has no idea who they're starting. I'm going to push it and say he is deliberately not saying who we are going to play, since there will be a lot of matchup issues if we use the differerent players.

RA is probably still deciding whether McGrady is more effectively as a PG, I too want to see what McGrady playing the Point is like. But as far as I know, McGrady is better scoring wise when he isn't forced to handle the ball like a PG, but playing wise he will give a lot of assist.

As for Steve Francis. I can't blame RA. We have yet to lose more than 1 game in a row, since we always bounce back the next game. I think what RA really really wants to do is sort out our current rotation players before considering putting out-of-rotation players in.

In fact, I think this is wise of RA. Why throw in the non-rotation players when our rotation players are even consistent yet?

I think someone here pointed out how clueless Adelman seems some times. I think he probably knows what he's doing and has a good basketball mind, but he sure does say, "I don't know" a lot. He says it in almost every interview it seems like.

And on a semi-related topic, I just realized that the roster from the 2003-2004 season is almost completely out of the NBA. Looking at the roster here, you'll see that other Yao, no one is left. Steve seems to be done, Cuttino just retired, Boki went overseas, and everyone else is out of the league I think. How can that happen in just 5 short years. It must mean something. What? I don't know.

well you gotta look at matchups, they got Anthony Johnson out there, but Brooks can't really check Billups all game. If they get JR Smith out there or Linas Kleiza then he might have to be taken out altogether because he just can't handle the size of some of their bigger guards.

I noticed too that he's saying "I don't know" a lot, so the "he's saying that deliberately" thing is out of question for me. I think it also brings this whiney attitude which IMO is something that boss should avoid..

If they wanted to trade Francis shouldn't they showcase him a bit and make him play?...
