Good info, thanks. Right now, we can beat any second tier team out there. But to beat the real bad boys, we'll need all the depth we can get, and bonzi would certainly add that.

That, sir, is the understatment of the day. That was a lot of info from our not so usual source. It's really refreshing to read the hometown paper and really get info instead of fuff.

As good as Wells is, with people like him, it's only a matter of time before they screw up again.

well it's from a blog not the actual paper but either way, it's more of what i'd like to see from the guys who have inside access.

sucks about mcgrady but hopefully we see bonzi get some minutes tomorrow. he might have to because we have no guards with height as it stands.

Bonzi has got a lot of baggage, look for him to collect a few more while he is in Houston. He is not going to be here next year, might as well trade him for someone while we still have his rights.

    Bottom line:

    1) This team NEEDS Bonzi if it is going to go DEEP into the playoffs....im talking pass the 1st round. He does the "dirty" work (rebounds, post-up, pretty good D).

    2) Bonzi NEEDS this team. This seems to be a solid group of guys, and i think being around them will be good for him. Seeing how well we have been playing without him, I would HOPE that he's saying to himself, "Damn, with Yao dominating, and a lot of attention on McGrady, I can come in and get us over the hump."

    3) All the people on here that have been hating on Bonzi need to start rooting for this guy. He is part of this team, like it or not, and we should be hoping for the best with him and this TEAM!

Hey JVG, just pretend that you didn't sign Bonzi 2 months ago. Pretend you signed him right after TMAC's injury and forget about the past. It's good for everybody involved that those 2 start off fresh.

Bonzi seems like one of those who have a world of talent and seem to be more than aware of it. I'm pretty sure he's going to screw up again, I just hope that it doesn't happen until Tracy gets healthy (enough) and comes back.

I still really hope he and Van Gundy work it out. The guy could still be a huge part of the team.

Wow, I too am amazed in the amount of info in that article that I didn't already know. Nice little read.

I really hope Bonzi doesn't screw this thing up. He can really help us if he can keep his head straight.

Fact: Bonzi will get a rousing ovation if and when he gets in the game. He did last time, and he will again. He is a knucklehead, but (for the moment) he is "our" knucklehead.

He may be a headcase, but he can play, he definitely has game. In shape, out of shape, bottomline, got game. You'll see.

It's now upto JVG to make it work, one way or another. It's time to bend over backwards and get the job done. This is what good coaches do when there is a need. :p

Amazing that Van Gundier started this particular thread. The article is an implicit indictment of JVG's handling of Bonzi.

    Either:

    1) Bonzi is a malcontent that should be banished at will and JVG is completely correct in keeping him off the roster, or..

    2) JVG needs him now, even if Bonzi stinks it up for a few games because the the immediate future of TMac is uncertain Wells may provide us (and JVG) wins.

JVG's feeling heat from somewhere, and it may just be the lack of a contract extension but I find it very questionable he's letting a desperate and talented knucklehead back at this juncture.

Hey Les, give JVG an extension so we can figure out what he really believes.
