Didn't read this portion in the other threads where this article was highlighted.. The way Ron talks about the Rockets I really feel his feelings are hurt.. Talks about us like we are an ex-girlfriend he still has feelings for.

I think rockets had no interest in signing him. He said on the dp show he wanted come back to houston, but they didn't show any interest.

He sounds butthurt over a hypothetical $3M difference he was never going to see in the first place.

    Wow Artest is a genious!!!!

He wants 15 and get offered 12, gets insulted because he wants 15, so he signs for 6.

    Amazing logic!

He's full of crap, he never intended to stay here..i mean the guy had been wishing for over a year to be part of Kobe's team, and we all know ron is an attention w**** first, ball player second. Going to LA gives him all that attention AND the chance to play with Kobe. He should man up and just admit it.

Still worse: he refused to even look at our offer, anticipating it would be less than what he's asking for, and so (presuming its an insult) he signs elsewhere for less than he thinks we offered him.

    Ronnie being Ronnie.

what he really meant was "i'll sign for 6 in LA and make a couple more with all the extra endorsements, tv appearances, album sales, and possibly a tv show."

You love Ariza's shot chucking ability and his ability to dribble the ball? Do you also like his 38 % from the field and his efficiency?

This is Artest being an attention w****. The season is more than a month old and there are people in the world who aren't paying attention to him.

I'm betting that 1/2 of the things he's said in the last 24 hrs. have been completely made up. As the story says:

    [rquoter]
Artest told the magazine that during his career with the Bulls from 1999 through 2002, "I used to drink Hennessy … at halftime. I (kept it) in my locker. I'd just walk to the liquor store (near the arena) and get it."

That disclosure met with initial skepticism from those who knew Artest at the time. Two former teammates, one coach and one front-office employee with the Bulls, all speaking on the condition of anonymity, told the Chicago Tribune that Artest was trying to generate shock value.

"That's just Ron being Ron," one former teammate said in a story posted on the Tribune’s Web site.

Not even worth discussing. Just Ron being Ron, in this instance, loud-mouthed and butt-hurt.

Does Carmichael Dave still inhabit this board? I wonder what he thinks about the last few Ron Ron interviews. Ron is just spewing nonsense.

    Ron may be mildly bipolar.

Daryl offered one year. Ron's agent didn't like. He was going to LA regardless, he can say Houston was his first choice all he wanted...

He was LA bound. Hence the in season trade rumors... One year rental and all the baggage/screaming that came with was wearing thin

that's another line of BS from him, you know he did look at the offer and that's why he was "insulted", now he's just saying he didn't to sound like a bad ass..
