Great read IMO. I was really big on Okoye going into the draft and was really happy he was there at #10. We got a lot of criticism for going with another D-lineman, especially considering his age and projected impact for this season. I'm sure he has opened a lot of eyes with his play in his first 3 games. This kid could be REALLY SPECIAL, and the fact that he could play 2-3 seasons in the NFL and still be 22-23 years old is scary. :D

We have a really young line and in a few years could be unstoppable.

I was happy the Texans took Okoye. I can't say he was my first choice (I wanted us to pick Patrick "Boss" Willis). But I did watch quite a few Louisville games last season and was impressed by Amobi.

I'm a big defense guy and was happy that the Texans took defense first and took someone to grow with Mario to anchor the D-Line. ESPN the Magazine had a great article about Amobi and his adjustments to being in high school and college so young earlier this year, its an excellent read. Hopefully Amobi can keep the DROY here in Houston another year.

i really wasnt going to expect anything from him this year b/c of his age. I figured a few plays here and there but his last 2 games have been great and he only seems to be getting better.

I remember reading this article about Okoye awhile back about him and his background. I was very pleased when the Texans selected him. Definately looks like he's going to be an excellent pro for years to come..

If someone is that determined and smart to excel in school and jump grades and still play sports at his level then he will do great at any level. Shows the kids character. He is the real deal in my opinion and i liked that pick a lot. He's not just good he's football smart and wants to learn more as well...from what i have read

Awesome read, I loved the pick the Texans made when they took Amobi. He's been a beast too, to put up those type of numbers from a DT this early in the year is huge. Hope this carries throughout the whole line and the year.

between williams, amobi, dunta, and demeco... that is a solid and young core to anchor the defense.

It seems like Omobi will learn the "tricks" much faster than others as well...Maybe it's just me, but each game he has done better...

It's all about football IQ. Some things just can't be taught you either got it or you don't! :p Yep, Amobi's scary good.

How bout this ... 'Mobi gets a sack trick and Schauby get 3 TDs through the air on sunday in ATL. I'm good with that. :D

All these young studs on defense...is the team going to be able to keep all of them?

what about next year's draft? we'll pick in the mid-late teens, and no safety outside of kenny phillips is worth a 1st rounder. we could use a speed rusher on the other side like derrick harvey or quentin groves, but another DLine would make fans upset. both OLB spots could be upgraded, and nfldraftcountdown has us taking dan connor. i wouldnt be upset with that pick. OL could use some depth as well if Spencer doesnt come back. tony hills may rise pretty fast.
