Hey guys and gals, just wanted to know the hot spots to check out christmas lights around houston or further out within some form of reason. I don't mind driving to Brenham or even a little further as long as the lights are awesome. Post your spots here for others to see (and for me also). We are thinking of going "Christmas Light Hunting" this weekend. Thanks in advance...

    Tim

There's a neighborhood out there by Highway 90 near the Ranch where the ZZTop dudes live (you have to drive past it to get to the neighborhood) that has a dude with lights and a show that is a traffic stopper when he puts them up. I don't know the exact location, but I will ask the person who took me there two years ago. He always has a different theme, and two years ago it was NEMO.

Does anyone know what I am talking about?

A-Train, you're almost right. Music is a plus, but not really needed. Most people won't have music. After two times seeing it, I don't see the WOW factor anymore. I wonder how annoyed the neighbors are, but I like it. :D tim was asking for "lights" though.

tim, I am going to ask your permission to OVERTHROW this thread into a "Help with Christmas Lights" theme instead of an "Anyone know where I can see cool lights" thread:

A little late, but these look like a good idea: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XN2JecI5KI

I'm being humilated by my neighbors and their lights. I've been too lazy to put our own and and practically the only house on the street without lights. I may have to hit a store and put some up soon.

I like to go to Shepherd Park Plaza. They have a LOT every year. This Saturday night is Lights in the Heights in the Woodland Heights area.

Anyone else...I'll be in town sometime soon and would like to take the kidos out to see lights...I know around Pasadena, off of Vista/Beltway 8 i believe is pretty cool...All I remember is the names of the streets are South American countries (e.g. Colombia,etc.)...
