I can wrap presents with the best of them. I can wrap oddly-shaped boxes, round boxes, bag presents, etc.

I'm artsy like that, but I'm still very MACHO.

So... who does the Christmas present wrap? The significant other, your kids, your mom, or you?

" If you're using more than three pieces of tape to wrap a present, you're doing it wrong." - name that TV Show (bonus for the character ;) )

    ^ Correct. REPufitated.

Don't forget to include batteries for toys or gadgets that require them. You don't want to make the kids have to buy them themselves.

I have a reputation in my family of just being a terrible present wrapper. I hate everything about wrapping presents.

I find it refreshing and hilarious. My main goal is just to get something on there as quickly as possible to hide the present underneath. A cleanly wrapped present is not high on my agenda.

Then, my brother is the complete opposite. He has to have the perfect wraps on his gifts. I think part of the reason I don't care about the wrap is just to spite him.

That is what my wife is for. She wrapped her own gifts the other day for me, while I supervised to make sure she didn't look in boxes.

I am possibly the worst gift wrapper known to man. I have no idea how much paper to use so I always use way too much. I can use 1/2 an entire roll of paper and most of the tape to wrap a cd.

I still wrap the gifts for my wife, but that's it. She's in charge of the rest.

Like Surfguy, I have a reputation of being a terrible gift-wrapper. I still do it every year. It's nice, because my family knows my gifts without even looking at the card.

My gift wrapping skills are just pathetic. To be honest, I worry about any man who counts gift wrapping as one of his favorite things to do.

When I have to do it, my trick is to make the top of the present look halfway presentable (no pun intended), then make sure only the top shows when I put it under the tree.

The bottom of my present always looks like complete garbage. All wrinkled, torn, loose and uneven folds, back of wrapping paper showing, uneven scissor cuts.....but no one knows until they pick it up and start unwrapping it.

Hey, I'm having a really good Christmas this year. We aren't doing gifts this year. So, I didn't have to mutilate any gift wrapping. We bought the folks a 46" LCD LED Samsung TV and there is no way in hell we are wrapping that. My folks are the type that don't really buy technology items...so we force them into computers, TVs, etc. . Otherwise, they will use the same crap since 1955 or whenever until it literally dies.

So, we're taking the big boxed TV over to them and carrying it right in the door. Then, we have to deal with the initial parental resistance (we are borg; you will be assimilated into the HDTV collective). And, then everything will be great. My parents will go from a crappy 4x3 TV to a really nice 16x9 hi-def HDTV. I swear my Dad has been asking questions about what all is needed on it for two years. Well, he's about to find out. LOL. He and Mom are getting the HDTV, a new wireless router (as TV is internet ready), a hi-def antenna, and a hand-me-down DVD player that upconverts (no blu ray at this time).

I'm pretty much an expert gift wrapper, can wrap ANYHING and never resort to using bags. Growing up, my mother always had my sister and I wrap each others presents, so I got good at at.

I'd like to volunteer to wrap that rascal (that's what she said). :p

    Rascal = TV Box

OF COURSE it has to be new paper... no one wraps with used paper. GOSH.
