He is actually not that bad as a bench scorer and rebounder.

Just would not give him more than 1-2 years.

    A worse circumstance than Harden.

There's a number of reasons why he hasn't been signed yet, but I don't believe it's because no team wants him. He may have received lower offers than what he feel he's worth, or the team(s) he prefers is waiting for Lillard to get traded. Superstars demanding trades always slow things down and there will most likely be multiple teams involved. For instance, If/when Lillard goes to Miami, Wood would be a good fit there. More moves will be made (maybe even by the Rockets) once Lillard is on his new team.

He will be signed on a really small deal before the season starts. His talent potential is too high for him to be out of the league entirely.

However he's a proven loser, with a loser mentality. Lazy, selfish, and refuses to make an effort to do important things that don't generate stats for him. I thought for sure Dallas made a good move getting him in a contract year, but even in a f**king contract year he wouldn't give effort and professionalism. Why would any team think he's gonna do it this season?

90% of the NBA are not contenders.

So there is a lot of that. Losers or mediocre teams, not everyone goes deep into the Playoffs anyhow.

It's crazy to me nobody would want Wood even on a small deal. Yeah ok maybe he won't give effort so what? It's not like Darius Days can put up 20 and 10 while shooting 38% from 3 like "loser" Wood even if he goes whole hog. It's one thing if Wood is like an Artest type of cancer or knuckhead but by all accounts he is just lazy and inconsistent. For 5M that's still good value.

I think NBA is just an old boys club and once you get branded as a malcontent you get blackballed by almost all clubs. For example Schroder spit on the Lakers and he got punished by not getting more than vet min for like 5 yrs despite being a starter level pg. Now Wood can't even find a taker whereas guys like Camby and Udonis Haslem kept getting checks despite having 0 gas left in the tank.

Bad attitudes bring the whole team down.

Why would putting Wood's total lack of defense with Lillard's total lack of defense be a good fit?

At this point he has proven he is a player you can't count on, that's why he ain't getting paid. No one will pay a lot for a malcontent that doesn't give effort and hustle beyond scoring when not truly elite at it. He'll get a contract somewhere, but not for many years and /or money anymore.

His talent on offense is near elite, his effort on defense is spotty at best.

If Ime wanted him, we could certainly use him back in Houston, but it would have to be after a sitdown and a come to jesus meeting with him where he understands why he is where he is.......

Honestly, if he went to the Lakers or somewhere with a hard nosed superstar he would probably be better.

It's pretty simple if you think about it this way. Let's say your packing, and word gets around so all the ladies are interested but soon after word gets out that you can't get it up. If your wood is soft ain't no one gonna want it.

    Wood is soft.

    The End.

I have my eyes on Isaiah Mobley, the older breh of Evan by 2 years.

He is the offensive version of Evan but not as elite though.

His shooting numbers in the SL were very good.

If you are a fringe player you might also be booted out of the camp.....fingers crossed.

He could be a Christian Wood lite without the red flags IMHO depending on if opportunity knocks.

Told the wood fans like dd that wood is cancerous bc he gives no effort whatsoever on defense as a big man. It's quite funny that dd doesn't want harden and shts on him but is willing to embrace wood once more.

Refuses to screen, refuses to rebound or box out. Just wants the ball to shoot 3s and sht.

He's unredeemable unlike kpj who actually tries to play for the team

Decent player but seems to have a poor, selfish attitude. Was apparent in his time here and I guess it didn't change in Dallas.

Spotty? When he pulls up in a Walgreen's parking lot, the staff runs for the Clearasil and hides it. This is known.
