    Brief research, but George Adamson (the trainer in Kenya) was attacked and killed in 1989 by animal poachers. His wife was killed in 1980 by someone from their campsite.

    Pretty interesting story.

    Animals are great. I imagine it wouldn't always turn out this nice (well, in the short term at least...the lion was never seen again, though could have lived a long happy life; and the Abramson's were both killed later), but sometimes it does, and when it does, it's a happy story.
