What didn't work there(LA)? I don't think it's about what didn't work. I try to look at the positive side of things. It was an amazing six years there. For us, we had a great run but never got to where we wanted to get to. Unfortunate situations, bad turnovers by myself, different things came up and we never were able to get where we wanted. Relationship with teammates as bad as reported? Listen here. With any team, any family, anything like that, everything isn't always the best, peaches & cream and stuff like that. You have different issues. You show me anyone who doesn't & I'll show you someone who is lying. End of the day, we all genuinely cared for each other & loved each other and had each other's back. That's how I feel about all my teammates & coaches. You said you're here to help him. How? I think I can. He can help me too. We can help each other. How can I help him? I can get the ball out of his hands a little bit. He can do the same for me. We've known each other. In talking, once again it showed his selflessness in that I'd like for you to come here. We both have a common goal: to win. When we got done with our conversation, winning was a priority & said let's figure it out. You figured it would work? Absolutely. No hesitation? None whatsoever. The test is up north. How much closer? I don't know. Time will tell. I'm excited what we'll do here & what we're gonna build. I'm excited about building something. That started in Vegas. There hasn't been a day that went by since the trade went down that me & James haven't talked about certain things. That's what got me excited right now, building & seeing what we can do.
Love everything about this. Every answer, Holly Rowe, all of it. ETA: The bit about his son and the ring >>>
Pretty sure he will. Either this season (through extension), or next off-season he will be offered a 5 year max that will last until he's 38.
