Lets face it, no other guy in this league carries scrubs to playoff contention like he does, its incredible how much he makes others better right now he is dominating the Magic 32 pts, 6 asts, 5 rebs with 5:30 to go in the third.....
Chris Paul is the best Point guard in the league in my opinion he is the better player than Dwyane Wade by a little. But Wade himself also leads his team by himself, well he was. Now that Tyson Chandler is gone in NOH, Chris Paul has to handle even more duties. Which is really bad for him in my opinion, He wasn't Iron man when Tyson Chandler played for them. He could get an even more serious injury if he tries to carry an entire team fully on his back.
i agree wade carries a lot of scrubs too, but it seems like CP just carries them to a further level.... Either way not too many guys carry scrubs like these two guys and probably a few more i could name.....
people are underestimating that trade... that wilcox guy is a beast...and with cp3.. ur gonna see some monstrous dunks and plays...people assume u need a 7 footer , is kendrick perkins 7ft? for the celtics, because they won a championship with him... they also have david west, whom is a all star , and shooters as well with peja, butler, posey, and peterson...cp3 should be mvp... but dont sleep too hard on their other guys...
To be fair though, CP3 has more veterans on his team, that's why I don't give him that much credit. There is also no player close to all-star level on the Miami Heat, outside of Dwyane Wade. David West made the all-star team, I was actually kind of surprised he did this year because his numbers were down, but last season he was quite deserving. CP3 also has Peja, James Posey, Morris Peterson, Rasual Butler, just more veteran leadership. Wade has a lot of future guys though like Mario Chalmers and Michael Beasley. To make it simple, Hornets are the present, Heat are the future.
I don't think Chris Paul can carry a team on his back for a long period of time like Wade. If his production stays like this the rest of the season, maybe so. But the last couple of seasons, Paul has had the luxury of picking his spots when to dominate. Can he carry the burden on a continual basis? We will see. Saying he should be MVP based on this one game is crazy.
This game also showed us that Nelson maybe the Magics mvp. They looked lost out there w/o a proper pg.. not many open looks for Lewis and Hedo and they had to force shots with no pg creating shots for them. When you arent hitting shots from the outside (13/33 33% nearly as many as fta 36) they could double dwight and he was a non factor. I remember one play where dwight was posting up armstrong or someone and passed it out to c.lee and instead of passing back for the repost he swung it around the side. I feel bad for the Magics, with nelson playing at the level he was before he got injured, Magic had a legit shot IMO against cavs and celtics.. but not too be, maybe next season. on topic Chris Paul was phenomenal today, pick and rolls just getting to the paint whenever he wanted and it seemed he could scored whenever he felt like it.. this guy has all of us would ever dream our pg could be speed, great control & floor vision never forcing the issue, good overall fg%.
Wade had 37 pts, 12 assist, 4 boards, 4 steals and a block last night. If I had to choose between the two I'd take Wade.
Not Wade's fault. Look at his team. Put Wade on the Hornets and I think they have a better chance of winning a title.
Maybe. I just don't think putting up numbers in a bad loss tells us very much about his ability to carry a team.
