How often do you forget that Chris Paul is one of us? There's no way that this is a big topic because I think we've all taken it for granted but we literally added the best point guard in the NBA and perhaps ever to our team. The dude donated money to Houston, he's clearly been working out and making us better while we aren't watching. Seriously... we have Chris Paul on our team. Chris Paul, the guy that made us lose frequently over the years. Now he's on our team with Harden, arguably the best player in the NBA. How are we not more reactive to this? Are we shocked? Does it feel like it's unreal maybe? The dude is actually going to suit up for us this year. It's real. Why doesn't it feel real? Why isn't every thread about Chris Paul? That guy makes John Stockton look like a scrub. Really? Yup. How are we not more pumped? Myself included.. Don't worry, Chris! We'll get there with you! Game one and we're pumped up. Best acquisition for the entire offseason. Boston got Kyrie and Hayward, but I think we got more than they did.
Best PG ever? Harden best player in the NBA? At this time of night, I'm gonna assume you're drunk, breh.
Who is a better point guard in the history of the NBA? And do you really think Westbrook is a better player than Harden?
It doesn't feel real to me. It really doesn't. Chris Paul is a stud and although I'm pretty sure there will be some growing pains of him and Harden playing together, their potential is incredible and I really do think they will figure it out quickly and do some amazing things on the court. Can't wait for game 1 and where it really will sink in that we got him
I feel you. I agree. I guess many of us are bummed about Melo not being a rocket ......yet. We need as much talent as possible vs GSW
Ok, now I'm certain you're drunk, but I'll humor you with a few names that fall outside of mega-Rockets-homer auto-hate... Magic Johnson and Isiah Thomas as PGs. As for current NBA players, LeBron James is still better than Harden. By far. And I'm a known LeBron hater.
I think we were like, I thought is going the be the best point guard. Now we got two point guards. James Harden is alpha dog. Feels like CP3 is a side chick. I guess Houston's never gotten 2 superstars in similar roles before. It's mind-boggling. I want to love him... and I'll let's be straight about it, I have not been a fan of this guy's whining for a long time. I do love his game. Plus, he's got a lot of pull. There are gonna be A LOT of assist this year. We are going to break the season record for assists.
The whole melo trade thing took all the attention away from CP3. I'm very excited about him and Harden playing some beautiful entertaining winning basketball together.
First the guy said arguably. Theres a primary reason why the 32+ year old banana boat crew wanna bandwagon with the rockets and it ain't Les, Tilman, Morey, or MDA If you have doubts, lets discuss how last year's "far better player" fared against the player you hate.
I think it's partly because of the Warriors. In any other time period Chris would've put us as favourites, especially with our addition of PJ and only losing Beverley in the process. Unfortunately that is not the case. I don't think any player would've caused crazy excitement and all happiness, buzz around the league and contention talk. Maybe Lebron would've done that for some, but any other, not so much. Also the Spurs series has left a bad taste and then there's the Melo stuff.
Yeah a 1st round series loss of 3 superstars against a younger and inferior team with no hca is alot better Than a 2nd round series loss of a lone superstar to a much superior multi star 60 win championship calibre team with hca
Lighten up debbie only a few people like you crying whining losing sleep over the spurs loss Morey locked up harden for 6 years Cp3 joined harden Melo wants to join cp3 and harden Les made 2.2b off harden Harden just donated $1m
Well said. We all argue so much about how to make our team better, and we all have differing ideas on how to get there. I for sure would have been the first one making fun of the proposed trade that actually got him here as too lopsided in our favor. I've never been more happy to be wrong, but it's still taking a while to set in.
