Anybody see this kid play against Wisconsin? He looked like a poor man's version of Greg Oden to me. I'm curious as to what the chances are he comes out and if he will get drafted.
He's definitely being scouted. I talked to two Rockets' scouts about him at the Lamar-TAMU-CC game. Two other scouts were there to watch him and James Davis of Lamar. I think the general feeling is that he wouldn't be drafted if he came out, but he would definitely get a camp invite or two. Davis is a Shaq-sized player with better offensive skills, so he's considered the better prospect, but Daniels is a better rebounder, works a lot harder, and is in shape. Daniels is a senior, but he's a Prop 48 player, so he'll probably go back to school. (Prop 48 players are academically ineligible players who sit out their Freshman year to get their grades in shape. If they are on track to graduate by their Senior year, they regain that lost year of eligibility.)
