If he wants out of Toronto, what is it going to take to pry him away from Toronto.

My thoughts: Maybe 2 very good players??? Perhaps something like Emeka Okafor and Carl Landry?

Why does everybody think so highly of Bosh aside from his fantasy points? He's still the softest big man in the NBA, the only player that comes close is Big Z. Like said and done, there's a reason why Shaq called him RuPaul. Bosh doesn't play any better defense than a guy like Amare Stoudemire, he may put it in more effort but it's not anymore effective. He gets outmuscled by almost any player in the NBA. The only thing I respect about him is he gets to the FT line.

I would see if they would take McGrady, Scola and next years #1.

We can't trade next year's #1 until AFTER the draft. At which time, McGrady's contract will be up.

And I don't think Toronto would take McGrady back, even if just to dump salary.

    McGrady to NY.
Mobley to New Orleans. Rockets first rounder to New Orleans.
    Okafor, Cook, Landry to Toronto.
Bosh, Eddy Curry, Wilson Chandler to Houston.

Teams can't trade consecutive future #1 draft picks. Now that the 2009 draft is over the Rockets are free to trade their 2010 #1 pick.

I agree with a lot of your post, I wouldn't build a team around CB4, he's sort of like Paul Gasol, you can't have him as your franchise player, but would be a great secondary guy.

There arn't too many guys that can get you 20pts 10rebs a night, so he's good for that, but I wish he'd put as much effort on D as he does for his offense. Having said that, I don't think he's got the IT factor on defense, kinda like Stoudemire, these two just don't know how to play D, and never will.

I don't think the Rockets have the assets to get Bosh, but he'd be great beside Yao if comes back healthy. He'd make up for Yao's slowness yet still have his own butt covered with Yao being the pillar on defense.

Boy. Can't tell if you are a fan of him or not. I think he is light years better than Amare defensively. Since you don't think we have the assets to get him, what do you think Toronto would accept for him if he wanted out?

I suggested a comparable low-priced high value power forward with quickness that can finish, shoot the midrange J, and post up with almost anybody along with a defensive minded anchor in the middle in Okafor. Looking at Toronto's team, their weakness seems to be interior D and post up offense. So, what combination of players may be available that Toronto would accept if he wanted out?

Honestly I think that they'd be looking for a "name" player such as a Deron Williams or a Kevin Durant, someone like that. I don't think that they'd be looking for somewhat one-dimensional players who are very good, yet still one-dimensional, such as Emeka Okafor who won't even net them 10 points per game.

I still think he is really overrated. He is a good player, but definitely not someone you can build a team around. He has only gotten his team above .500 one time in his entire career. He would be a fantastic 2nd option, but I have never seen the drive or defensive effort that would make him a #1 guy. Whoever mentioned Pau Gasol, that is a good comparison

Neither Utah nor OKCity is going to trade either one of those guys for Bosh. If Toronto is going to lose him for nothing to free agency, what would they be willing to take, and what players are realistically available?

Something like a resigned Rudy Gay and Marc Gasol is something I think would be appealing to them. Or maybe some of the talent from Chicago, like Luol Deng and Joakim Noah, which I think Chicago would at least consider. In other words, I think that they would have to give a good, young, talent with huge upside (Gasol, Deng) and another considerable player who can fill up the seats. I know that Landry's a much better player than Rudy Gay, but I don't think that he can fill up the seats like they can, which would certainly count in Toronto's situation.

    I like it jopatmc.

I think this is the guy we are going after, and I think we might have the pieces to do it.

Landry's play of late could make it happen, but I think they might want Chase Budinger as well...

Why does everyone want Bosh? Isn't Scola a better fit for this team?

Our PF rotation is cheap and productive. Bosh is overrated. I wouldn't trade for Bosh at all, let alone give up both Landry and Budinger for him.

i think putting yao ming with bosh would leviate bosh's defensive inabilities because he doesnt have to bang with the big men anymore on defence.

on offence, not so sure what will happen. When raptors had jermain oneal last season, the two just did not click, bosh started to fall in love with the mid range jumper and stopped facing up and driving in neither did he put in as much effort on rebounds.

    +1

also, he does not fit into RA's motion offence. he's not a good passer and holds on to the ball too much
