    There has been an infestation of Bosh threads within our forums and the likeliness of him landing in Houston is extremely unlikely. Besides all that, we also have Jordan Hill who possess somewhat similar attributes but, however, undeveloped. So I ask these simple questions to fulfill my curiousity;

How will Bosh make this team better, when we have Hill and Scola?
Which attributes make Bosh better than Hill/Scola?
Can Hill's potential reach bosh's prime if not better?

In my opinion, I like Hill/Scola better. They cost much less and we don't have to lose anything but the opportunity to obtain a superstar. It gives us flexibility within our roster when we have the combo pf of Hill/Scola.

If already post link and lock. Thank you!

I like Bosh's height and ability to block and rebounding. As far as tenacity...i think Scola is by far much better. Bosh and Yao is too good inside.

I agree, Morey is building this team the right way... Through youthful talent, Dream's championship wasn't built in a day... He had to lose Ralph and Joe Barley Cares before becoming the Dream.

I say we keep the young guns (Bud, Taylor, and Hill), image what they look like in 2 or 3 years - I've waited 15 years, I guess another 3 will not hurt. Monsters in Htown!!! with AB running the point. Taylor also plays great D at the 2 spot.

DM, don't trade our future for a potential championship with Bosh. BTW, Bosh knees will not hold up, dude is fragile.

The only thing we lack is a legit 7 foot backup center

If that is the only thing we should still be playing right now. A returning Yao is not going to fix all of our problems.

I don't think Bosh is an elite player......so to me, Scola and Hill are are pretty equal to having Bosh.

The question with getting Bosh, is how much do the Rockets have to give up?

You can agree that he's an elite forward at least, right?

He doesn't have to be the best player in league, just best fit for the Rockets.

Staying with Scola/Hill is putting a less effective product on the court, regardless of what anyone thinks Bosh is better without a doubt.

Morey realizes that if you stick with your current roster you aren't even sniffing the Western Conference finals, Yao's comeback is unpredictable to say the least.

We are in win-now mode if we make this trade, this could possibly be Yao's last season and we rightfully should be going all out.

In the end if Yao is unable to recover then you have a legitimate force to step in and take the leadership role in Bosh.

Fact of the matter is a trade for Bosh makes this a better team.

    so a hill/scola combo is better than bosh/scola & bosh/yao?

When yao comes out, since we know his minutes will be limited, can't we slide bosh to 5 and keep scola at 4?

That's the fast paced offense the coach wants. I know defense will lack but Bosh is still a good defender and rebounder in the low post.

    Or did I miss something?

You haven't seen Bosh play much. He would fit extremely well alongside Yao (or, rather, with Yao alongside him). I doubt Toronto would want Hill AND Scola for both (the latter of which would have to accept a sign-and-trade anyway), so the comparison should be Bosh/Hill or Bosh/Scola to Scola/Hill. Either way, Bosh/Whomever is definitely superior.

The question is really what else we have to sacrifice besides one of our PF's. Battier? I'd be OK with that. Ariza? Sure. Brooks? I don't think so, regardless of how much I like Lowry. Yao? Nope. Martin? Nope.

Next year isn't the time to wait and let guys develop. Not with Yao and Battier entering free agency. Not when you just made a large acquisition in Martin while siphoning off young talent like Landry. Morey built this team to compete for a Championship in 2010-2011, not let talent develop.

Should we trade every piece of young talent to get Bosh? No, obviously not, but we're going to have to sacrifice some. Toronto will want a lot, but if Bosh is hell-bent on getting out of dodge and prefers the Rockets, Toronto won't be in a position to ask for much. Basically, it's too early to try and guess what level of veteran/young talent we'd have to give up for Bosh and whether it would be worth it or not.

Hill/Taylor/Jeffries/pick(s) for Bosh? I might do that. Hill/Budinger/Battier/pick(s) for Bosh? Probably not. Etc., etc.

    Scola averages.. 14 and 8?
Bosh is what.. 24 and 11? 12? I can't remember. But obviously Bosh is much better.

Also, a lot of the top teams in the west are getting old. Lakers, mavs, spurs, suns...

The up and coming thunder, the jazz, nuggets(if melo stays) are the teams that will still be around even as the aging stars are retiring.

Our solid young team is definitely going to be in the mix if we land bosh and make a splash next offseason.

I just leave it in Morey and Les' hands, I think they know what they're doing

Bosh is not much of a shotblocker.

Agree. I wouldn't break the bank in aquiring Bosh. If Toronto wants the T-Mac aquired assets, then Im all over it. But I would be hard pressed in giving up a core player for him in a sign and trade.

If I were going into a basketball war or halfcourt slugfest ie.(playoffs), Scola would be my choice over Bosh.
