1 yr contract for vet minimum?
Its obvious we have no backup center so adding him for dirt cheap will be very beneficial considering he can still block shots and rebound. He is also a home town houstonian,

    Thoughts?

Maybe there's been some update to the story, but last I heard the dude was a child predator.

I can't imagine any NBA owner touching that (no pun intended), and if he is found guilty of something, aside from likely being in jail, he will likely be expelled from the league permanently.

Again, caveating that maybe it was all bogus and he's been exonerated by now..

He was being extorted by the mother of a girl who claimed to be 18. I can't say what's true or not, but until it's proven he seems to be the victim here.

lol weren't you a huge proponent of playing only the young guys last year? I distinctly remember it became very annoying. Now you want a washed up Andersen to take minutes? Please. At least get his name right...

Asik, D-Mo, Harrelson, Patterson, T Jones and even Johnson can all play time at center

FYI, Harrelson was a key reserve in the Knick's rotation last year. Shows how much you know.....

not a bad idea since we won't have much D on front court. Asik and destroy with Birdman... scary if you think about it. twin towers.

If we can get rid of our slew of PF's I'd definitely be intrigued if we could sign him. Not sure if he's interested though seeing as how we're rebuilding. He could definitely serviceable as a back up center. I'd rather keep a defensive body on the floor than run one of our PF's at the center position.
