It isn't 100% clear, but as some here thought he'd be a good sign, per EPSN

Chris Andersen's agent, Mark Fleisher, said that Andersen intends to sign a multiyear deal with the Hornets when the moratorium ends.

Bostjan Nachbar's agent, Herb Rudoy, told ESPN.com that Nachbar intends to sign with the Hornets on that day as well.

Apparently Nachbar isn't coming back either

EDIT: Note the same article is making it sound unlikely that we are in the SAR running in any way...

Man... I didn't think that would happen, well I guess that means that is less money they can pay Stromile Swift.

Yes! We don't need Sir Wanna-Dunk-Alot embarassing himself or the Rockets in however many Slam Dunk Contests he continues to enter.

Good angle on this. I figured they'd be a real player for him...not that's they'll be playoff ready, but with Paul, Swift and eitehr Magloire or good trade of him, there was potential...but if they want to put their eggs in the Chris Anderson basket...their loss.

I worked with him at the YMCA in Conroe the summer before he was trying to get back into SanJac or go to UH when Clyde was still there...I think it was 99?

We used to party alot--dude has zero character.

Wow, Raja Bell already agreed to sign with the Suns. That's a nice pickup for them after trading away Richardson. Seems like the Suns are dead set on doing whatever to improve their defense.

    Yup, definitely good news.

No Anderson and a better chance at landing stro.

Good. They're perfect for each other. A bad player on a bad team.

Dammit, people. Don't you realize that he'd be great for us off the bench? Dumb as rocks, but plays hard. Swift would be better backup, but Andersen would be hella cheaper.

Yeah I personally dont care what the guy looks like or acts like off the court. When he is on the court he is a hard worker and a solid defender that would definately be an upgrade for our team.

I agree - swift will demand 3 times the salary and give you about the same number of rebounds per game off the bench

true but anderson is an offensive liability. you can't double off stro. anderson would be trated like bowen against the mavs. teams will be begging him to shoot.

stro is a better player thats what we will pay for. i'm not even sure the rockets wer einterested in anderson. whoever a team calls on the first day of FA signing is who they are targeting. CD didn't call anderson.

this brings us closer to an unbelievable offseason! swift in a S&T for either sura or james and baker.
