great news for us Bruins and those who do not like the other school.

Hopefully now Chow and Neuhiesel can finally change the landscape of college football in so cal. They need to be aggressive with the recruiting over the next 2 years.

With Kiffin in town now, you gotta wonder how much that will affect recruiting for the other schools in the Pac-10...especially UCLA.

it will for sure but if they have sanctions put on them which could be the case (all the signs are there for the hammer coming down) Kiffin may have a hand tied behind his back for the first 1-2 seasons there. Thats why I feel right now Chow and Neuhiesel have a 2 year window to aggressive recruit and get some 5-star talent to build the program back up where it can be somewhat competitive to usc once kiffin can go full recruit mode

As good as Kiffin's crew is they won't do much more (if not less) damage than Carroll has. So nothing will really change IMO. No Chow is a big loss (or non-gain rather) IMO, Kiffin's offense was so ugly at Tennessee. I thought Chow didn't like the UCLA gig, maybe he is waiting for USC to showcase a poor offense so his offer is bigger next season when his Titan money stops flowing in.

Chow would have been a HUGE addition to Kiffin's staff, especially for Barkley's development. But I think Chow knows that the NCAA is gonna bring the hammer down on USC and that he might have a window of opportunity to bring UCLA back.

But I really don't know how much the sanctions (whatever they may be) will hurt USC all that much. Carroll has been bringing in ridiculous classes for the past couple years so the talent is already there, so reducing the number of available scholarships probably won't hurt too much. I think the worst possible sanction is to ban USC from bowl games but I don't think it'll go that far, the NCAA knows the type of money a USC bowl game brings in.

The Texans should of looked into Chow instead of getting Denver's sloppy seconds.

He was the OC for the Titans. Their offense wasn't all that great and he got canned after 2 seasons. He's had success in college so he should probably stay at that level.
