I can't believe we can go from a team that is playing around .600 ball to a team that is only 2 games out of the playoff hunt!!! This is a really trying time for a Rockets fan. All year getting so excited because the team was playing so much better only for them to blow it out their @$$es the last week and to either nearly slip or to completely slip all the way???

PULL IT TOGETHER GUYS OR THE TEAM THAT WE HAVE KNOWN AND GROWN TO LOVE IS GOING TO BE COMPLETELY DISMANTLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man...I know it's just a sports but I JUST CAN'T TAKE it anymore. 4 years without making the playoffs. THIS TEAM IS MUCH BETTER THAN THIS. SO MANY STUPID MISTAKES! SO MANY TURNOVERS! SO MANY BAD DECISIONS! Sometimes I watch games and not even flinch when Francis turns the ball over, or Yao misses a shot from 3 feet.

I think I had a serious Sports Mental Breakdown today.

I'm losing it, seriously. Astros leaving 16 MEN ON BASE? ROCKETS BEING DOWN 15 at HALFTIME? Padgett jacking up 3s when they were only down 6 with 2 minutes to go. It's things like this that make me wonder sometimes why the basketball and baseball gods like to torture me so much. I can't even watch a Rockets game without expecting some sort of collapse, or watching them take bad shot after bad shot. If Bagwell is up in the 8th or 9th innings? FUGGEDABOUDIT, popup. GIDP. strike out. You name it, Bags has done it in recent years.

And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE someone explain to me why MORGAN FREAKING ENSBERG was not in the starting lineup?

I know what you mean i don't even want to get into this one, before i start ripping people.

I was at the Astros Game today. Same story as last night. They go to the mound to talk it over in a crucial point in the game and what happens right after? Runs are being scored one way or another. So i get pissed then hit the old web on the cell phone to check the rockets score....oh but wait we are loosing to Golden state by 11 at this point. I just can't take it anymore.

The night before checked out the line against Golden state to see what it was? We are only a 2.5 point favorite against a crappy team.

And as far as Ensberg goes the only reason i can see is that Ensberg bats right and he faced the lefty Last night. Today San Fran brought a righty pitcher so Jimmy Countered with a Left hand hitting 3rd basemen.

The Rockets are only up a game on the Jazz and two games up on the Nuggets. The Rockets might miss the playoffs again. I think I will not be a Rocket fan anymore if the team is not completed changed from top to bottom. The team the Rockets put on the court sucks. They have allways sucked. Rudy T put together the worst team in NBA history.

If missing the playoffs is the spark that causes the team to be dismantled, then I am almost in favor of us missing the playoffs. Because I have grown tired of this current mix of players and their stupid, boneheaded play.

Come now, gang, while there is reason for alarm, there is none for the histrionics exhibited in this thread. This pressure merely shows where and how the Rockets need to grow and evolve.

Remember, when you jump off a Rocket ship, you not only get finned and flamed but also you are in for a nasty freefall.;)

The team does not need to grew and evolve. I am tired of waiting on this every year. The Rockets are not the young team they used to be! They have been to together for 4 or 5 years and still have shown no improvement. 4 years ago the Rockets won 45 games and missed the playoffs. Then they won like 28, then I think we won 44 last year. And we might get luckt and win 44 this year. We are not improving at all. What is there to wait on? Wake up and amitt that the Rockets need some major chagnes this offseason.

I don't know where you've been, but the playoffs are starting to look more and more out of reach.

    ahem--
    PORTLAND BEAT THE LAKERS!
    JAZZ BEAT MEMPHIS!

We can't even beat an injured warriors lineup without their main big man!

Those are two teams playing like they want the playoffs. We are playing like a bunch of discombobulated rookies.

Playoffs? I'd be happy if they won another game before the end of the season!

Read more carefully, RF85. Grow and evolve does NOT mean keep the status quo. Grow (up?) and evolve (change) could well mean new personnel who fit. We have found out what doesn't work, and now we must channel our resources into what does.

The only thing we have found out is this team does not work. All I am saying is we don't need to let this team evolve, because they are going nowhere. If the Rockets suit up the same team next season, yea I will root for them because I have been a Rocket fan all my life. BUT I will have to start looking at other teams, because I find the current Rockets minus a few, impossible to cheer for.

And there's the difference. If the Rockets suited up 12 scrubs out of the NDBL, I'd root for them over all other teams.

The most pathetic part of it all is that they made the mistake of letting us SEE them play well before. It's not like they can't do it... THEY WON"T DO IT!
Trade everyone but Yao and JJ.
    Seriously.

In the infamous words of Jim Mora...

    "Playoffs?!?!?! Playoffs?!?!?!?!?"

This stretch run is truly painful to watch. I am almost resigned to the fact that we will miss the playoffs. I can't believe this is happeneing.

The only silver lining is that I beleive we have a couple of games left versus the Nugs and Jazz. The again, that could spell disaster as well. I'm at a loss.

The good news is I bought a home in Houston and I'll be looking to share some season tickets next season! Anyone? Bueller?
