I don't believe this kind of play was acceptable in the CBA before Yao started dunking in the NBA... http://finance.yahoo.com/news/71-300-pound-chinese-shaq-165030624.html Ex-NBA player Stephon Marbury has had a wildly successful career in China since joining the Beijing Ducks in 2011. He is now taking on the Liaoning Flying Leopards in the CBA finals. If the Ducks win, it would be their third title in four years. On Tuesday, Beijing evened the series at 2-2 with a 111-110 win. Marbury had 36 points in the win, but he was also on the receiving end of a vicious dunk by Liaoning's Han Dejun, BallIsLife points out. Absolutely destroyed him Han, still just 25 years old, is 7-foot-1 and weighs 300 pounds. The Asia-centric basketball blog Basketball Buddha called him "The Chinese Shaq" in January. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/_eih7BITMns?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I wouldn't say he was destroyed so much as he went for the block, completely whiffed and nailed the guy, and then fell down.
DeAndre had the better post dunk facial expression, which is a major part of posterization presentation.
lol. It was a good dunk. I'm not disputing the "dunked on" part. Props to anyone who tries to defend a big man at rim. Especially a PG. We're not talking about a PF getting thrown out of bounds on the dunk. To me, that's "destruction".
Just like any country, the more you are exposed to different cultures, there is a tendency to imitate or adapt the tendencies of the other.
Wrong - Yao is also from China. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/IebhPrKQGzs?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
