Famous clones have already included the Ronchamp Chapel in France, the Eiffel Tower in Paris - and the entire town of Hallstatt in Austria. Now British architect Zaha Hadid said she plans to take legal action after her eye-catching Wangjing Soho development in Beijing appears to have been replicated by what she calls 'pirate architects', in the city of Chongqing. Carbon copy: Part of Hiuzhou city has been deliberately constructed to resemble the Austrian town of Hallstatt In the northern Chinese city of Tianjin a 15th century fishing village has been all but bulldozed to make way for a replica Manhattan complete with Rockefeller and Lincoln centers and even a Hudson River.
To Attract successful foreigners to go there/bring their talents and feel like they are at home. or they are elegant POW Camps They have such a great opportunity to build cities with all the newest technological advances in renewable energy and sustainability and instead they create copies of ugly cities from around the world. What a waste, it's kind of sad really. OR they can replicate cool cities from movies but no..
Not to make this D&D bound, but the entire Chinese economy and military are based on this copy cat effect. It really pains me that out of all the richest and most advanced nations in the world, China is pretty much the only one that hasn't innovated jack $h1t, but instead relied on stealing ideas and designs from other countries and replicating them in a much cheaper way because of their *****ed up labor laws (or lack thereof).
Someone should trick them into replicating Detroit. The resulting crime waves, coupled with the hideousness of the city itself should cause China's economy to implode.
Zero innovation in China. Gun powder and Noodles were their last great gift. Some Classics <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/34eP2GQDd5k" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Man, it almost seems like they have such a huge national inferiority complex that they're trying to rip off the best (?) parts of other countries so they can point out how they have awesome stuff too! Focus on your own culture guys, you've got centuries of history to reflect on and celebrate.
