I was waiting for WindandSea to start up this post but now that the game has started I thought this would be the appropriate time:

Why the coach lets Ming sit on the bench. This game is important.:(

1:29 left in 1 half. I'm pretty sure Ming is not coming in.

Ming is perfect 4/4 fg, 5/5 ft, 13 pts, 2 reb, 1 blk. for 10 min.

    1st half ends. 52-43 China.

Li Nan is perfect 5/5 from the 3 pt line.

Ming only 10 minutes. First Q, China vs NZL 35-13 with Ming; Second Q, China vs NZL 17-30 without Ming.

Stupid coach. I heard that if China outnumbers NZL by 40 points, it still has chance to enter the next round. And China led 22 points at the first Q, then the coach asked Ming to sit on the bench.

    3rd Q done. 71-63 China

Playing the entire Q, Ming is still perfect: 6/6 and 7/7 for 19 pts.

I guess the coach doesn't really want to win. He has taken his star player out of the game in the crucial part of the 4th Quarter and now China is down by 5 with 3:59 left in the game.

Ming sat down with 8 min. to go with 3 fouls. After that, NZ had a 16-3 run and now they are leading by 5 with about 4 min. to go.

numerous turnovers by the guards in the 4th. Why the coach keep a guy who's o points 0 assists in there is beyond me.

Final Score: New Zealand 94 China 88

-The one and only reason China lost the game is because the coach took Ming out at the 8:01 mark in the 4th Quarter and then put him back in at the 3:57 mark after China was down by 5 at that point.
