You read it wrongly. Yao's number of free throw attempts was 23. He made 17. So that's 12/2 = 6 field goals.
According to sina.com stats, Yao's 6 for 15 fg. 2 TOs, 13 boards, one each for block, foul and assist. Played 38 minutes. Again he played with fire, some of you who read Chinese can see highlights of the game at sports.sina.com.cn If he plays like that in the NBA this season everygame, people will soon forget about Shaq.
Yao's looking pretty pumped in this photo. He definitely has been hitting the weight room in the offseason...good to see Falsone working with him. Look at those gunes
He also played for 38min which is the most of all the players, so can we assumed that he gotten over his stamina problem?
