Watching it on the internet. In second quarter now. China trailing 21 - 27. Yao started the game. On his first catch, he did a Shaq-ish dunk on the German center. However, he didn't do much afterward. He now has 4 points. Dirk isn't doing too well either. He couldn't make a shot, and air-balled a couple of times. Yi was a rebounding maniac in the first quarter. He got something like 7 boards in the first 8 minute. Chen was doing decent. He was filthy fast, and repeatedly broke down the German defense. However, his body is pretty weak and couldn't finish.
Don't expect too much from Yao's first game back from foot injury, 33-28 Germany leading at the end of 2nd. But with Yao on the court it gave China much more confidence.
Nowitzki's play has been quite poor. At halftime, I think he is still in single digits scoring, he has shot 3 airballs, and he's shooting something like 2/10 from the field. Oh, he also got posterized by Yi Jianlian. Yao has played OK in limited minutes. 4 points, a rebound, and a block in something like 8 minutes in the first half. Not great, but then again it's his first game back so can't expect that much. The dunk on Femerling was nice, though.
Yao slum dunk in the first minute of the first quarter,and blocked the center of German in the second quarter,It`s amazing that Yi slum dunk on Derk`s head in the second quarter.It`s oberviously that Yao was tired quickly.
Yup... China did play really well. Yao had a huge block as well in the 2nd/Q. Yi, does what he usually does, good rebounding... Chen... Jesus... he will be my chinese ver. A.I. if he can actually catch those simple shots. This guy really got the speed.
Who's Chen's NBA comparison? I don't think he'll ever be a huge scorer. For some reason he reminds me of Sebatian Telfair.
