I swear that is the 3rd time I've see Sun yue make a tayshaun price type of block, and I've only watched him about 4-5 times. He's long and fairly athletic.

Man, the team from Deutschland has Nowitzki and Kaman, but is generally a fairly sorry team from the early looks of this game.

Their frontcourt D isn't enough to shut down Yao... or even Yi and Wang.

Their guards can't take advantage of the one biggest Chinese weakness-- guard play v. pressure D.

Their Js are not falling, and when they drive, they don't have enough atheleticism to get a good shot off against the tall Chinese defender.

    Edit:

They are also standing around watching Dirk work too much instead of getting ball to him at the spots when he can do his job. Dirk is not Steve Nash, you don't just give him the ball and get out the way.

Chris Kaman has the "FIBA Newbie" syndrome. He doesn't seem totally integrated into the team.

i thought the refs were favoring china a bit. but, german team isn't very good. so it doesn't matter. maybe i'm to used to nba rules. maybe it's just normal for international play. germans were pushing yao all over the place, so that cancels it out. yao falls too much. he is going to fall over 100 times in the olympics.
