The only name that stands out is Chucky Brown, and I don't ven know much about him. Maybe the formers are better.

Funny that these no-name guys think they could do something that the US Team couldn't. Hahahaha!

OK, maybe Yao will learn something...or not...or stuff.

    Thanks windandsea.

Hopefully Yao Ming will have a great game. Look forward to any updates or stats you can provide.

FYI Chucky Brown was the Power Forward on our 2nd championship team. We got him to fill the vacancy created by the Clyde Drexler/Otis Thorpe trade. He was a good team player and could hit the open 12-15 ft. jumpshot pretty well.

At one time I think he held the record for most teams in a career.
Something like 11 in 10 years. 10 in 11, something like that. I think he probably played his best ball with us.

    GOOD LUCK YAO!!!

Smack-talk is normal for NBA players, but for these guys to show up Ming, he'll have to not care about the game and they'll have to play as if their NBA careers depend on their effort (and, looking at these names, that might be the case).

7:00 am according to windandsea's post. I wonder it it will be the same old story again. China holding it close through the first half while Ming is kicking ass. Then the coach decides to bench him and the sorry guards refuse to pass to him.

The head coach of this NBA team is James (that is what Chinese media called him). He watched all the Chinese NT games at WBC and said he has found the way to defeat China. (everyone knows the way to defeat China, right?) He wants his players to push Ming far away from the paint.

Erick said if his teammates have chances, they will try to block Ming's shot and dunk on Ming's head to show him how good NBA players are.

Hehe...that does sound funny. Especially since China isn't even all that good, no offense. Its like saying I have found out how to beat the Warriors.

Also funny how they are all talking trash. I guess they missed what the REAL NBA players said.

BTW, is Wang still not playing? Just curious if he was just out of the WC or everything.

    Another sidenote:

Ming is following the games of the World Championship for Women, which is held in Suzhou, China now. (His girlfriend is staying with Chinese Women NT there but cannot play because of injury.) China did well so far. They defeated Yugoslavia, Senegal, and Spain in row. Ming said why they can do that but we cannot. He blames himself a lot.

Well the American women are kicking a$$ in the World Championships, when the American men could not. Ming will feel right at home here. ;)

Why is that team called the "NBA Stars" when not a single one of them is nothing more than a 12th man or injured reserve on any NBA roster? Props to Chucky Brown though, he was a great Rocket. Maybe he can motivate Yao and tell him what it was like to win a championship in Houston.

No. Wang has also refused to play for China in the upcominbg All Asian Games.
The head of Chinese Sports Bureau condemmed him for his refusal to
play for Chines NT to the media yesterday. This s**t seems to be getting serious now, condsidering it might have gotten political now.
Poor Wang, nobody knows what's going to happen him next

Dang, that sucks. I was under the influence that he didn't follow orders to train and was not allowed to play for the NT. I thought that was the end of the story. Guess not. This doesn't bode well, not just for Ming and the Rockets, but for Chinese players. (unless I'm wrong about the importance of this.)

Poor Wang. Poor Yao!! If his refusal (which it won't) to not play effects Yao, he will be the most hated man in China and in Houston.
