    Is is it just me, or is the sole purpose of television specifically for kids is to serve as a big advertisement? The commercials are more frequent than the actual programs, and the commercials themselves do not make sense. To the posters with kids, how do you deal with this?

    It's been like this for decades. Get a tivo and teach the kids how to use it.

    Just like with everything else, consumerism is taught from a very young age...

    Yeah, the other day I say I saw a commercial for the Trojan Vibrating Ring while watching Rainbow Brite with my niece. That was awkward.
