Hey guys, I was looking to get a little perspective on the whole child support system and determining visitation rights and the such. In between the Rockets and Clutchfans, it seems that a few guys may get divorced, lol j/k. Anyway, whatever information would be helpful, like personal accounts of how this process works and the such. For example, i don't quite understand how much of your income is actually taken up by this and who actually determines the visitation schedule for the non-custodial parent. Btw, the girl is a total you-know-what AND she resides in Sand Diego, but the baby was born in Austin and thats where Daddy lives. Last but not least, its not me, its for someone else! Thanks in advance guys!
Depending on how where the child lives (TX or CA) and how long the child has lived there, the outcome may be very different. If the child has lived in San Diego for more than six months, it is very possible that this will be litigated in Claifornia, and their law will apply. I have no idea how this would turn out then. Sounds like your friend needs to consult a qualified family lawyer in Austin.
