Woke up this morning and BAM.... Little red spots of hell. There goes my week. There goes my vacation to Orlando (supposed to start on Friday). There goes my light workload. There goes my New Year's. Anyone have any advice on how to beat this virus? Remedies? Thoughts? I've got my Benadryl. I've got my Caladryl. I've got some herpes pills crap. I've got Worlds of Warcraft, the internet, my bootleg DVDs, and my trusty DVR. I've also slightly built up my willpower to NOT SCRATCH ANYTHING ON MY BODY... EVER. Am I missing anything here? Help a poor guy out.
Man, its been a long time since I had the Chicken Pox, but get a bottle of Calamine Lotion to help the itching. And yeah, try your best not to scratch them at all. Maybe even wear gloves to sleep so you don't scratch while sleeping. Good luck!
Man Chicken Pox sucked, got em when I was little, mom would put me in the bath tub filled with crap, think it helped so I wouldnt itch...it sucks you had a vacation planned.
I had it when I was 14, and I still remember it not fun. I have heard it is worse the older you are, is that true? Just use alot of Calamine Lotion. So, will this illness prevent you from getting the inside info on Beltran?
not gonna ask where you picked those up.. Sure, it helped with the itch, but didn't it stink? Seriously, I think that bath stuff is called Aveeno. Look into it, I heard it works pretty well. I say load up on Benadryl and sleep through it. The gloves are also not a bad idea.
I cant remember...I dont think it did though....I was like 6 or 7 when I got it so I just did what my mom told me I had to do to get rid of it.
Damn, that sucks, Vescey. Aren't you around 30 or so? Chicken pox for adults is a lot more serious than it is for kids. I take it that you have seen a doctor, right?? Anyway, hope you get to feeling better.
Yes. Yes it will. Someone else will have to break the story if he signs this week. Manny, I'm actually 27. But it's still bad at this age. I just took a Benadryl, so I expect to be out any time n-- Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I hope it goes by quick for you, not a good feeling. My grandmother died the day after I got them when I was 14 and I was one of the pallbearers, not very comfortable being in a suit at that time.
i had them when i was a sophomore in HS, and it wasn't that bad. once the itching was done i got all the luxury of missing school, and didn't really feel bad...though I was still contagious. but i do understand chicken pox can be a real b**** when you're older...
I got them in high school. I still remember watching the Lakers and Celtics in the Finals while sitting in my medicated bathtub. I can't remember what I used, I think it was something the doctor gave me. But it worked great. I didn't itch at all.
