What a year! They finished with a 7-8 record against the "tougher" Western Conference this year. They are 42-32 overall this moment, BUT if we exclude the 0-9 start, they are at .646 percent since, which ranks them way ahead of team like Houston lets say. Only 5 teams have better record. They're 9-1 in their last 10 games. They have Ben Gordon, who leads the league with 10+ points in the fourth quarter, ahead of McGrady or even Kobe Bryant. They have Tyson Chandler, league leader in fourth-quarter rebounding (according to Chicago Tribune). They're both coming from the bench. They lead the series with 2-1 against World Champion, the Pistons. They're fourth seeded (with a third best record in the East), and Houston aren't that high. Pause, I'm waiting for excuses ... Tougher WC ... tougher ... much tougher ... injuries ... how would you do in WC .... etc ... etc ... The Bulls are closer to the second-round of play-offs. That's a fact. Good luck with Seattle. Roy D.
The Bulls were 0-2 against us, and lost both games convincingly to us... including a 30 point drumming IN Chicago... now that's a fact. Oh yea... Eddy Curry is Yao Ming's personal b****.... now that's also a fact. After the way we basically made the Bulls our b****es (ask your coach... they admitted it TWICE), its a shame we don't get to play them anymore. Teams like the Hornets, Warriors, and Jazz are giving us trouble... but we'd definitely relish an opportunity to play the Bulls each and every night. Finally... if you really think you have the second-coming of Michael Jordan in Ben Gordon... I wish you much sympathy for the rest of your Bull-fandom-life, because you are going to be SORELY dissapointed.
The loss of Luol Deng is going to hurt them in the playoffs. Nocioni is staring at the 3 now but is a much better bench guy. Credit Skiles for getting that team to play together and finding the right rotation for the players.
I think chicago has had a great year. i think they have a very good team, and i hope they do it good in the play-offs. I think chandler is a great player(why does he not start). They have a bigger chance of reaching the second round then houston. but i think houston is a better team. Like you said the WC is tougher. BTW saying if you exclude a part of the chicago schedule they have a better record then some others is not fair, then you should also exclude the bad streches of other teams.
One of the most annoying things in sports is to make up stupid, obscure stats for the sole purpose of making a single player look good. "Most 10+ points games in the 4th quarter" stat for Gorden definitely belongs in this category. Talk about meaningless. Let suprerstars like Kobe, AI, or T-Mac play the same minutes of each game as Gordon(20+ per game, most of 4th quarter), and Ben Gordon wouldn't even have a sniff at leading this category. I fail to see the goodness of having your bench player take all the shots down the stretch. Talk about having no faith in your starters.
I was starting to like the Bulls a bit after over a decade of hating them. Then roydelton comes to ruin it all.
Sheep boy is coming in HERE and talking smack? BWAHAHAHA!! 7-8 record against the West? What, they don't teach math at the center for myopic Bulls fans? I count a 15-15 conference record for the Bulls, which is the same as Orlando...yes, the current five games below .500, not in the playoffs Orlando. The Rockets are 26-19 against the West....and yes, the West is better than the East and that's a fact...who's that with the same record as your widdle baby bulls? The 8th seeded Grizzlies? Besides Nick already pointing out how we've anally molested you twice this year (and once in the preseason), how many 4-0 road trips against Seattle, Phoenix, Sacramento, and Golden State (who we beat right before they went on their current 10-1 tear) do YOU have? ...and don't give us crap about an 0-9 start. The Rockets were playing just as poorly as the Bulls at the beginning of the season, then turned it on after the Barry and Wesley trades Fourth seed in the East...and our record is STILL better than your record...even with the current three game losing streak I'll give the Bulls their props. They're young, athletic, and are playing well, but just because you're slightly better than huge stinking pile of horse manure you've been the past six years, don't come in here running your little gums claiming your little team is the second coming of the '86 Celtics...
When you have lottery picks year in and year out for six seasons, chances are, at some point, you'll have a .500 team. The Bulls are good this year because Chandler is finally healthy and Curry is in a contract year --- both players will be demanding fat contract extensions this off-season. Gordon and Deng on the team has given them some depth to work with, but I think both have been overrated, especially Gordon (who I don't think was worth the third pick.) Things seem great right now for the Bulls. But, as Celtics and Rockets fans have learned in the past few weeks, things are rarely as great as they seem sometimes.

Dude, when a team comes into your house and beats you by 30 you DON'T go to their message board and brag that one of your player's leads the league in 4th quarter points, or whatever the bogus stat is... As if admitting to the sheep fetish 5 years ago wasn't enough. Sheesh.
I find this argument hilarious. You're bragging about having the 3rd best record in the East but.... WE STILL HAVE A BETTER RECORD.
