Just wondering if there's a chicago style pizza restaurant in Houston is all. I know Austin has Mangia Pizza, and Ft. Worth has Uno's. Any place like that in Houston?
No problem. Be sure to bring an empty stomach and a full wallet, since it's really filling, but pretty pricey.
"The only decision I have to make is whether to get Chicago style or thin crust. The salesman has left the building."
I love that place. It has been a LONG time since I have been there. If you ever feel like a pizza lunch on a Saturday or Sunday...let me know.
AGREED the one thing i probably miss most about Houston (besides the Rockets) is Fuzzy's Awesome pizza
Uno's closed on Kirby and Alabama years ago. Outside of that, I haven't seen Chicago style pizza in Houston.
A new spot I'm really fond of is BJ's Chicago Style Pizza. It's located on 515 W Bay Area Blvd, and it's the best deep dish pizza I've found in Houston. They have a ton of good food other than pizza including an amazing chili in a bread bowl. What a great place to go to if you are looking to gain weight. Disclaimer: I have lived in Chicago, and even though I think the pizza is great at BJs it still can't top what I had in Chicago, but then again it's like trying to find good Tex-Mex up north. B
Ack, no edit... Here is a link to their website: BJ's Restraunt Brewery They have a ton of TVs there. I think it'd be a great place to watch a road Rockets game if you don't mind the drive out to Clear Lake. B
Sounds good! They have some pretty good buffalo wings they put out with their buffet on Saturday afternoons.
Can any of them really compare w/ Malnati's or Gino's East? Just like you cannot find real New York pizza anywhere o/s of NY.
Okay, I'm sorry, but I just have to flame you a little bit for this. Star pizza is nowhere near Chicago style pizza. Star pizza is the most popular place for the pizza lover who wants all kinds of funky vegetables and crap on their pizza. People go to star when they want the pineapple-spinache-avocado pizza. That ain't Chicago style. The correct answer is Fuzzy's -- droxford
