Using this 7 round mock, you can pick the Texan's pick or any below it, but you can't take a pick above it: http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/0900...-mock-projecting-every-pick-in-2012-nfl-draft #26 Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford #58 A.J. Jenkins, WR, Illinois #76 Bruce Irvin, OLB/DE, West Virginia. #99 Greg Childs, WR, Arkansas #121 Jaye Howard, DE, Florida (NT) #161 James Hanna, TE, Oklahoma #195 Evan Rodriguez, FB/TE, Temple #233 Kellen Moore, QB, Boise State
I might hold off on Jenkins, and try to grab Quick with the 3rd pick. Not sure though we REALLY need a WR, and it'd be risky to keep putting it off.
1: Stephen Hill WR GT 2: Jeff Allen OG Illinois 3: Bruce Irvin OLB/DE WVU 4: TY Hilton WR Florida Int 4: Shaun Prater CB Iowa 5: James Hanna TE Oklahoma 6: Cody Johnson FB Texas 7: Randy Bullock K Texas A&M Undrafted Signee: Kellen Moore QB Boise St or Case Keenum QB Houston
Could live with this. Disappointed to see Cousins go. If our draft could go like yours but Cousins fall to the 4th rd pick we have I would be ecstatic. (Though I doubt the Texans would take him.)
I think Irvin will gone before this mock, with him there there is no imperative to get a pass rusher @ 1 or 2 ..... sorta cheating. To me, from what I have seen in the last 10 years of drafts, Hill is a huge bust risk.
Was thinking the same thing. If you could guarantee me that we are getting Irvin in the 3rd it makes the draft easy.
Michael Lombardi @michaelombardi Hearing Bruce Irvin of West Virgina was told by a team in the bottom third that he will be picked in the first round..we shall see WalterFootball.com #26 Texans Bruce Irvin, DE/OLB, West Virginia April 26
Texans will trade their 1st to Rams for their two second rounders. 33. Best OLB on board (Perry, Merciless ,Curry,Irvin) 39. Best blocking WR (Randle, Sanu, Hill i think he drops) 58.Jeff Allen 76.George Iloka 99.Adrien Robinson....etc Rounds 2-4 only after that its a crap shoot
Greg Childs is an interesting choice. He's like the Arian Foster of wide receivers. Exceptionally talented, but had a crappy end to his college career that tanked his draft stock.
The Texans will have to include a 4th to make the trade appealing to St. Louis. I've actually mocked the Texans doing that trade.
Agreed. In the first round he's too much of a risk, but I would be okay with trading down and getting him.
Not playing by the rules, but here's what I think/hope going by positions only... 2*: OLB/DE (*trading into 2nd rd to pick up extra 3 or 4) 2: T 3: WR 3/4*: G 4: WR 4: QB 5: TE 6: DT 7: K
