Unless they put Posh out there on the field in a bikini, soccer will never be popular. As bad as baseball is now, it is better than soccer. I could get better ratings for a preseason NFL game than a bigtime soccer game.

Having Beckham debut against Chelsea was a dumb idea. They should have kept it within the MLS. Have the Galaxy play against Real Salt Lake, or maybe Chicago along with Cuauhtemoc Blanco. This would have given the Galaxy a better chance of winning.
It was a friendly that was played like one. Even Chelsea at 50% was much better than LA. They're simply not a good team. How in the hell does Donovan miss that header in front of goal? I think they're going to regret trading Jaqua to Houston with Beckham in. He could have been the target of a lot of crosses.

What I don't get is...of all teams, why'd they have to get Chelsea to play Galaxy? Yeesh, if you were looking for a far superior teams crushing your own, why not at least get say...Man U to step in, considering United at least has links to Beckhammer.
