With which of these young players would you start your team?

    Carmelo Anthony

    LeBron James

    Amaré Stoudemire

    Yao Ming

    I say Yao.

    Edit -

This seems like one poll that Yao will not win.

    Lebron - 42%

    Yao - 25%

    Carmelo - 18%

    Amaré - 15%

    Yao - 25%
    Amare - 15%

Glad to see the Rookie of the Year award is reflected in fan opinion.

Once again we get no love for our supa-star center.

I think James is ahead b/c he just played last night and had a decent outing. Take that poll again at the end of the year ad see if the votes are still the same.

I'm not surprised by the poll. As awesome and as popular as Yao is, the most talked about player in recent history is Lebron. Lebron is probably the most popular player in basketball right now. Is this going to be similiar to the MJ vs. Hakeem argument? Although, I don't think it's fair to compare Lebron and Yao to those two.

I can't believe Yao is going to lose a poll.

This poll reminds me of something. It cracks me up that Darko is Sam Bowie, Part II, and none of us know it YET. Having said that, I hope we shut Carmelo down tonight. I'm really looking forward to the JJAX and Carmelo matchup tonight.

    GO ROCKETS!!!

Shameless plug: Please Rockets! I emplore you to lock up (bad choice of words) Eddie Griffin for next season! Just do the extension, it wouldn't be prudent to do less.

Yao's now up to 26%, but that's not gonna cut it. Come on, guys. We can't let Yao lose a poll!

Yao is obviously my pick, but, damn that is an impressive list of young players and it leaves off quite a few others.

Damn, it's a good time to be an NBA fan.

While Lebron looks good you just can't underestimate the value of a BIG center.

Tha obvious choice would be Yao if your goal is to win.

I find it interesting that nobody even talks about Jay Williams anymore. And how many people thought he was the "safe" #1 pick last year?

I can't believe Yao is losing the poll. It's like asking who would take Shaq or Kobe? Of course the big man anyday of the year.

Mike Fratello, Steve Kerr, and Marv Albert went with Yao.
