if mccants falls to us we would be foolish not to take that kind of talent. after him i like, winston, garcia, may, simien, turiaf, lee. in that order.

That's all everyone does! What are we supposed to find out from them? That Warrick is quick?

Did anyone see the Sean May clip? That was really the Raymond Felton highlight reel. Same with the Rashad McCants clip, just a bunch of dunks set up by Felton. If you look at the Felton clip you see him scoring while his best highlights where on his teammates clips. HA!

    Ike Diogu looked good.

Duly impressed, but he doesn't appear to have the length or weight to play as a PF in the NBA. He looks to be a good player in the league and able to out-quick people, but bigger PF's will eat him up down low.

I was more impressed with Villaneuva, May, Turiaf, Taft and Diogu as far as what the Rockets need in a PF.

All that said, I would not be disappointed if he is the only one still available when we pick.

Sure did. Range and ability to finish with his either hand. He looked pretty smooth.

    Hakim has a 7' 2" wingspan and a 38" vert - he's skinny as hell, but he's only 21 - the pounds/muscle will come...

I liked Jarrett Jack's highlight film. He's a good penetrator and finisher. I also liked the intensity he showed.

Agreed. That wingspan, athleticism, and vertical is enticing. I would not be disappointed with the Rockets drafting him, especially with the trend towards quicker, athletic, interchangable 5 man squads.

If he was a legitimate 6'9" or 6'10" I'd be even happier. He's currently listed between 218-220 pounds and would probably need another 15-20 pounds of muscle to withstand the punishment down low as a PF.

I think we will have some really good choices available for us when we draft.

Yes, he looked gooooooooooooooooooooooood to me. I also liked David Lee's video, surprisingly enough. He shows good intensity. Joey Graham's video was unbelievable. Chris Paul looks sooooo smooth.

Most of those videos are a waste, just fast breaks or wide open jump shots.

I still like Jarrett Jack, Rony Turiaf, Joey Graham, Julius Hodge, and now I'm going to have to look at this David Lee kid harder. Ike sure looked like a great offensive player, a replica of Larry Johnson to me. Don't know if he's got the tools to play NBA defense however. Simien, I still say no. Nate Robinson vs. Earl Boykins would be interesting, although I think Boykins would outquick him. If Joey Graham can guard 2's at the next level, he would be a great fit for us. However, if he can only guard 3's, I think he's better served going to another team. We've got to have TMac guarding the 3 spot. Same thing with Hakim Warrick. Great athlete but I don't see him being able to guard 2's or 4's. We've got to have a player that can play the 3 on offense and the 2 on defense to match up with TMac.

After that highlight reel, I can see why J. Jack is looking like a good prospect. But I really think that Houston is going to package #24 with another player (Wesley, James, Pagdett) for someone with more sudden impact. JVG isn't going to wait around for J. Jack or Warrick to cut their teeth.

There were a few that "wowed" me in those clips.

Obviously, Hakim Warrick was impressive with his length and athleticism. All the talk about his lack of hieght should be put to rest; this guy can rise up and dunk on anyone and he will continue to do so at the next level. As for his frame, he will always be slight. This may be a burden for him at the NBA level, but he will cause just as much of a problem for defenders trying to cover him with his athleticism as well as disrupting players on the defensive end with his length. He is lacking in the ball handling department which adversely affects the definition of a true position, but in my eyes, he will only get better.

Luther Head. Sweet stroke. The two phrases should be linked together. Unbelievably silky-smooth release. Not extremely athletic but athletic enough. This is a player that I believe will be a solid contributor off the bench, as well as, a great second round selection.

Joey Graham. This guy is ready to contribute right now. He has an NBA ready body and NBA ready skills. His jumper is a little flat, but this guy has it all. He has the athleticism, quickness, heart and intensity to make what will be a potentially great small forward in the NBA.

Pops Mensah-Bosu: Intensity and nastiness is what stood out to me; and that is something every team needs. He is a quick leaper and his athleticism was a very pleasant surprise as well. This is a player that can potentially be nasty on the glass, especially offensively.

I want to see them all in Rockets uniforms.

based on the video these players seem to have the most upside:

    hakim warrick
    jarrett jack
    sean may
    wayne simien
    joey graham

i hope the rockets can somehow get any two of these guys.

I think we should move up and grab Jarret Jack. He can pass the ball and get to the basket, plus great size and speed for the PG position. Mock drafts are having him drafted at 24-28, but I think he will be drafted anywhere from 16-24.

Nice to see some Fili Rivera and Omar Thomas clips, but I'm kinda upset that they only really showed Fili busting out the fast break. They should have shown what he does best...dish the rock. The kid can flat out pass the ball...
