Hey guys. I have posted this link briefly but I want to put it up for good now. This is the latest effort we have thrown together. Download it and if you like it share with anyone you want to. We tried to capture the energy and a sense of building-up and did our best to keep the lyrics witty and fun while expressing honest passion for the Rockets. As always, let me know what you think if you have a sec. Be Big Thanks dudes. Chance
What do you get when you take a shovel and remove dirt from a spot? A HOLE. _________________________________________________ Anyway, Chance, nice job. I think it goes well with the mood of the new logo, and the overall dramatic impact of the new designs for the franchise. Do you ever make videos of your songs? This song just SCREAMS for a cool video to go with it. ciao
I think the tune and energy are great. Quite impressive. Don't care for the talking part much, but I never liked rap so you can discount my opinion on that (glad I stopped DJ'ing before it got huge). Good job.
Call Bobby Mac and tell him to give you a day and a case of beer so we can have something better to listen to during Texan games. Good job, sounds really good. The "no excuses" theme noted. Mentions no player names mentioned so you won't be rushing to make changes when the mid season trade of Steve and/or Cat is made. Did I miss the can opening?
Dude, if you DJ'd before rap "got huge" it is no longer cool to bring it up. Time to hang up the polyesther, buddy.
Chance, I'm going to be frank (like always). I loved the Texans song. I did not like the Yao Ming Song. This one I mostly like. I love he beat. I love the music. I love the lyrics. But I don't like the singer (sorry, if it's you). Not that the dude is a "bad" singer. Just too plain. Get JayZ to sing it. It will only cost you a few million!
I like the beat a lot. Kinda hard to understand the lyrics though. Music or bass drowns out the lyrics or the singer is too low.
I like the beats, sounds pretty good. But this is the first thing I thought of when I heard it, and I would doubt that I'm the first....Were you guys listening to The Bloodhound Gang alot when you wrote this?
Quite ambitious, Chancey. I would say even more so than It's a Ming Thing. The pulsating energy of the chorus alone, is almost a guarantee to shatter the Toyota Center. You bet I can dig it.
Ditto...But despite the underlying criticism in that statement, I think the song is perfect for what you're trying to do with it. I mean, it fits the title, it goes well together, it's within y'alls range of abilities. It's just what it should be.
I love the riffs, I love the chorus, and I love the ending. What I didn't much care for was the staccato style lyrics. It just didn't seem to fit with the rest of the song. Honestly, I couldn't tell you how I would change it, since I don't know much about writing music or anything. I just know what I like to hear. And the singing on the verses didn't feel right.
