What if you found out that your government is more influenced by a foreign government than all the citizens combined (excluding large corporations)? I believe this is the case right now for you guys and you need to figure this out asap. There are countries in the Middle East where you have more influence on their citizens than the citizens themselves, but for the first time in history the opposite is true too. There are countries in the Middle East that have more influence on what your government does than any other party but the gigantic corporations. What you want is, imo, meaningless to your government vs what those foreign governments want. Some countries are aligned with intelligence, others with military. Those two parts of your country are at all out war with each other, and I think we will find out really soon. It's easy to mask it, but screw ups emerge. This is obviously a half-baked hypothetical. But if it's true, how do you go about solving it?
