well it plays video and it even includes a radio and a voice recorder, plus theres no need for itones, maybe someone on clutchfans has had one of these be4?
i used to sell these on ebay and they do provide a lot of features and are a good buy. However, an ipod is an ipod and these are not on that level. Most look like they have the wheel but its really just pressing buttons so read the details carefully. The overall appearance is awesome and they are durable so they are a great deal. just not an ipod.
most of them are rip offs, they lable 4 gig but in reality is more like 512 megs, often, they do not have the software support to play FLAC or gapless, thus, crap.
Those are made in very inferior qualities. If you want Ipod alternative, check out Creative Zen, they are cheaper than Ipod, and IMHO also better than Ipod.
Or just get one of these... and a 4 Gig Memory stick. GSM quad band phone 2 MP Dig Cam Video recording and playback Walkman (audio and video) for mp3's and MPEG4 You get the idea. I love mine.
Sony Ericsson W810i Any GSM WORLDWIDE! Supports all four bands... Cingular is the main user of this phone stateside... and there are companies supplying them free with commitments on ebay, etc... Amazon has them as well with a bundle. The earbuds with this phone are amazing! Also, almost forgot, this has FM Radio, and widescreen games as well. Google it and read some reviews. I have had several phones... but this is like a 4 to 5-in-1 item. Really love it. 9/10 easily... maybe a 10/10. EDIT: I've also seen where someone has put OS X on these... not sure how, but there are posts about it in reviews, etc. And this phone supports the same video as an Ipod. Now... remember the screen is small, but it is still very loaded for a phone/device smaller than a deck of cards.
