Cheap vacation? Stay away from...

    The Bahamas!

    I am at the Atlantis on paraside island and today I paid 10.00 for a burger at Johnny Rockets, 8.00 for a hot dog and passed on a pair of 30.00 socks (shoes were 24.99 in the states).

    I thought the Caymans were expensive but this place is effing ridiculous!


    Great time, beautiful place, amazing atmosphere but you need a FEMA card to survive here!

    Did you stay right around Atlantis? I head that place was brought up for the wealthy so I would expect it.

    We went there in 98, we went on the Disney Cruise so we just checked out the Atlantis. All I remember about it was a huge fish in the aquarium.

    Staying at the Atlantis, people spend so much money it makes me sick. It's my daughter sweet 16 so I wanted her to remember it. Hell, hopefully she understands that this trip is probably the difference between UT and HCC for her. ;)
