Any good dentist, really cheap around Houston??? I don't have a thousand dollars just to do a root canal, maybe I can afford like 400 bucks total.. That b**** hurts so bad, can't sleep for like 3 days cause of that toothache, OUCH!!!
Don't go to a cheap dentist, and especially not one of those McDonalds dental offices.... They will F up your face, and you will spend much much more later on.
Mexican border.. They have some cheap rates!!! Also they can throw in a cheap boob job if you want :grin:

Call one of the dental schools.. Call a ghetto dentist i.e. Se Hablo Espanol, or Sunnyside Dentistry where we make you smile (insert black guy with really big super white teeth), or just call one and say i want it pulled.. should cost you bout 400
UT dental is a good route but I'm sure there is a long line and you may be treated by a student. First option is of course root canal...or you could get an extraction if you don't have the money.
If Dr. Doornob and Anesthesiologist Jack Daniels are inadequate, you could sign up for drug trials and possibly get paid for it. They try expensive...err experimental drugs on you and you have to sign a death liability waiver, but hey what's a few hundred bucks matter? It's not like they kill or maim their subjects all the time.
This is a good idea. Which tooth is it? If the tooth is heavily decayed, which it probably is, you are also looking at a post/core and a crown. That is going to be a lot more than $1000. DO NOT get a cheap root canal. Trust me. Go to an endodontist or at least a general practitioner comfortable doing root canals. Lots of GP's do root canals, especially on your front teeth. If the tooth hurts a lot right now then at the very least get a gross pulpal debridement to get you out of pain. That will buy you some time until you can save up for the full root canal. Also, I don't know UT-Houston's policy in regards to root canals, but depending on the severity of the case it may not be treatable by a dental student. May need to go to a graduate endo student or faculty type practice. Seriously though, don't get a ****ty root canal. It will end up costing you a lot more in the future and you may end up losing the tooth anyways.
