Who would you say is the better player? For me, I gotta roll with Billups. He actually is in my opinion the real best point guard in the NBA. I've always loved his game since I watched the playoffs in 2004 especially since the Pistons were the team I was cheering for after the Rockets were knocked out. Billups is one of the few players if not only player in the league with absolutely no weakness at all.

Parker has had a hell of a year and has elevated himself, I just think Billups remains better.

Chauncey. There is no comparison. Just look at what he did to the Nuggets just by being on the team. And he is CLUTCH as hell.

I think there is a comparison, there are people out there that think Tony Parker is the 2nd best PG in the NBA behind Chris Paul. via Jalen Rose.

However, I do seriously believe Parker's ability to run an offense is severely underrated. He gets credit for being a scorer and that's it, but people don't give him enough credit for running the Spurs offense. Billups is clearly better at that category but I was just throwing it out there about Tony Parker.

Chauncey. I think Chauncey commands more respect, like the turnaround in Denver. He got Melo and the rest of those guys focused. I think if you put Tony Parker on that team they would be better than last year too because they would have a real PG, but I don't know if he would command as much respect as Billups has.

Chauncey's performance in the playoffs has exceeded everyone's expectations. He has been the best PG without a doubt. This is a surprising reversal of his tank-jobs the last 2 playoffs. He's never shot the ball this well his entire career. Props to him. But I don't think Chauncey will continue shooting over 50% from long range. It's possible he could come down to Earth next round.

    Billups.

He's more capable to run a team by himself, can shoot the 3ball well, and has the clutch factor.

Also, he doesn't rely on speed/quickness nearly as much, which is something you lose as you get older.

I agree, as I mentioned in the 1st post. Billups is one of the few if not only player in the league that has no weakness what so ever. Can you believe that we could've gotten Billups and Prince for T-Mac???!!!

    Arghhhh!

I prefer not to revisit that path in the memory lane...

That's all speculation at this point. Besides tracy would've failed the physical so it wouldn't happen either way if it was true.

I wouldn't say so, Leslie Alexander has the biggest man crush on Tracy ever. So It would make sense that this team was stupid enough to decline that trade. But I guess it would make sense that he would fail the physical as well.

    B-B-B-B-Billups.

Tony Parker is tailor made for San Antonio. I'm not so sure he'd move teams very well. Chauncey has proven he can.

What bothers me is that Les still thinks Tracy is the Numero Uno guy on the team, with Yao playing the role of the Robin. I truly hope the favoritism of our owner doesn't (and didn't) impede Morey's ability to make moves if and when Tracy is involved.

Hopefully Morey will make the correct decision and not re-sign Tracy in 2010. HOPEFULLY. Let's hope Leslie realizes Tracy's a heartless quitter. But maybe Tracy will change himself. Leslie acts like a Tmac only fan. ;)

better PG? Billups. Who would I rather have? Parker, due to age and good game, though maybe not quite up to Chauncey's level

Despite Chauncey's unbelievable playoff run you can count me in the minority.

wow i hate the spurs and i still voted for tony parker. in terms of scoring ability, parker is clearly the better player. his passing ability is definitely underrated. he has perfect chemistry with duncan and delivers sharp passes, they used to be scary on the p&r until duncan slowed down.

Me too. Chauncey was incredible in the first two rounds, but he's playing over his head. If he somehow continues this the rest of the way, more power to him.

Chauncey got a ring with far less talent around him than TP had.

Chauncey has the Nuggets playing like champs.

Even when the Spurs beat the Pistons in the finals, Chauncey raped Tony so bad that Pops had to take him out of the game for long periods of time.
