I don't know if this has been posted but looks like he is trying to give it a go vs. Miami.

    from ESPN.com

    "Day-to-Day
Budinger's ankle was not as severely sprained as it initially appeared, leaving the Rockets optimistic he will be out only one or two games, the Houston Chronicle reports. "We're hoping maybe this weekend," coach Rick Adelman said of Budinger's potential return. "It's not nearly as bad as it was before. He says it's not bad at all. So I would think that tomorrow he won't be able to go but we're hoping maybe Sunday in Miami. But if not Sunday, then I would think Tuesday for sure against New Jersey."

Good news as I was at the Utah game and it looked like it was pretty bad when he did it.

Sometimes after a really bad sprain, if you do proper rehab and don't reinjury until 100% healed, then it is more flexible. The next turn of the ankle is not as bad.

so I've heard. I've been lucky enough to only have one high-ankle sprain...my foot was black from all the blood draining out of the broken capillaries...6 mos out of commission.

Great news. It looked terrible on film. I kept thinking they were being overly optimistic. On a side note, I am not crazy about Chase and Scola on the court. I liked Patrick and Bud and most recently Scola and Lee together. I think that gives us more of a defensive team. Scola and Bud weakens uss a bit. I'll be interesting to see how Coach plays it out on Sunday.

Great news. I was just thinking what if we start Lee for the rest of the way ?
Not just because of the injury, but since Lee is a better defender and a proven starter. What you guys think ?

Yea same here, it sucked. When i got back on the court I was all unco-ordinated and scared to use it and my shot was WAY OFF like embarssing. Hope Chase's heals fast but IDK why but I would like to see him come off the bench.

I just hope he isn't rushing back. I understand that he wants to be a part of this playoff push, and that he probably feels like he can contribute to the cause, but that ankle is definitely going to still have some stiffness and soreness, and Chase's game is predicated on running and cutting. I have no problems starting Lee at the 3 while Chase recovers. If the trainers clear him to play, the Rockets can bring him off the bench for the Miami game.

Chase seems to be a quick healer. As i recall, he came back very quickly after a bad sprain last season as well. I thought he would be back in no time but I hope that ankle is near to 100 % healthy.

I thought it looked rather mild, actually.

Most of the time when you roll an ankle on a misstep it's not very serious. The problem is landing on it full force after jumping, like Chase did last season.

Dont rush. We dont need a bad shooting Budinger. Thats almost as bad as a offensiveless Battier and in fact is the same exact thing.
