I hope you will enjoy the athletic-ness of Chase shown in this video. Please give feedback on how you liked it. Chase is a big asset to the Rockets. He is only a rookie and hasn't even scraped his ceiling yet. He is the most athletic guy on the Rockets IMO and has proved to me that white men do have hops. His athleticism is shown in the video various times. From dunks to blocks to passes I think Chase is a great all around player and will be excellent in the league. If you want to request a video please let me know in a reply. Thanks Note: People who try to watch the video soon after I post this thread may experience bad quality because it has only recently been uploaded.
Reminds me more of a Tom Chambers type of player...but in a 6'7" body......a more athletic Peja....... DD
Chase is replaceable - he replaced von wafer. If Chase leaves, there will be another to replace him as the scoring punch off the bench. If he gets traded, it would almost seem like taking 3 2nd round picks and flipping whoever had the most value was all part of Morey's plan.
No it can't...... Chase played on an entirely different team than Von did......and Chase did not replace him.... Chase has more skills than most of our starting players, and he is 21 years old and a rookie... You don't trade those guys you let them develop into 20ppg players. DD
I would keep chase because i don't trust martin. If martin msses another 30+ games again this year, I trade his ass before its too late.
I strongly disagree. Chase has so much more to offer. Besides the athleticism of Von Wafer, Chase has intelligence and a very high basketball IQ, which will serve him well going forward. He can actually work within a system. Instead of being a one trick pony, ala Wafer, Budinger has shown glimpses of defensive improvement. I don't know if he'll ever be a good man defender, time will tell, but he has the tools to be. What he will develop into, IMO, is a very good team defender. Unlike Wafer, he learns. He makes his rotations, he moves well without the ball. He has superb shot mechanics and I'm convinced that he's going to develop into an outstanding and consistent shooter at this level, given experience. The only thing that was holding him back this season, in that department, was simply being a rookie. Having a million things to learn and adapt to. I look to Chase to have a big improvement in his percentages next year. I'd take Chase Budinger over Von Wafer every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Not a guy that can't be replaced, but a guy not easily replaced.
Chase has an incredibly high ceiling, and I pray that we don't trade him, unless it's part of a super-blockbuster deal.
Thanks for the chuckle, but KM is the only one of the four players to have demonstrated elite-level talent. I would trade Hill, Brooks before CB.
Kevin Martin has been in decline for the last couple of years, his FG% has steadily declined. I still like him as a player, but I would trade him in a heartbeat for a more consistent performer that can play a modicum of defense. DD
