can anyone tell me how that will work? if its like football, i know each team has to set aside players who are available to be drafted by the hornets. please please tell me there is a chance they will take mooch off our hands for the 04-05 season.

Rockets will probably leave Mooch unprotected, but I am willing to bet a $10,000 that Charlotte won't take the lil dribbler.

Expansion teams are not in a hurry to take on high priced veterans. Especially the ones that SUCK!

The NBA has outlined specific procedures for the expansion draft yet, as defined in the CBA. Those types of questions can be answered with help from the CBA FAQ by Larry Coon, available here: http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm

Of note is question 91, outlining the expansion draft, draft picks in the regular draft, the salary cap for expansion teams, and more.

Note how they have a lower salary cap - 2/3rd of that for the rest of the league - for their first season, making any high-priced role-players unlikely to be selected. Thus, to answer your question, Moochie likely won't be selected.

For all of you Mooch haters out there, expect Mooch to step it up in more ways than one this upcoming season.

Remember Cato before last season? EVeryone hated him. He stepped up and played tremendously. A lot of people on this board still despise him, which is unfortunate.

You have got to believe that Mooch knows his job is in jeopardy if he doesn't perform up to his salary. With VG the new coach, expect no tolerance if Mooch repeats his lackluster year.

He still can do well if he wants. I see this next year as a real test for him.

While I hope some of your assessments will come to pass, I keep getting this feeling that you have some type of connection with Moochie norris. . . . . i just cant put my finger on it. Anyway, I hope the little dribbler cleans up his game A LOT next year, or he will be riding the pine. All I have to say about that is its about time players are held accountable for thier actions on the court.

As for the expansion draft, I was hoping the rockets would hold onto collier. :D

I bet Matt Maloney can kick Moochie's ass on the court anyday. We are still paying that pretty boy. Might as well bring him back and cut Hoochie.

Believe me, I am no Moochie promoter. Don't let the name fool you. It was the best I could come up with and seemed reasonable at the time.
