They are on a six game win streak and though they haven't beat most of the teams of any consequence, 4 wins were on the road and the other two are against the Eastern Conference playoff (as of right now) teams. I know that his rep as a mercenary has soured him in the media but does anyone else think Larry Brown my get another COY if he can get the Bobcats in the playoffs?
The Bobs are very fun to watch. Sort of like the Bucks, they are an undertalented team that just plays hard. Hard work beats talent when talent does not work hard. (Someone tattoo this to Tracys forehead for me)
Bobcats were 7 wins, 14 losses before trading J-Rich. 2 games were lost in between when the traded players didn't suit up. Since Bell & Diaw have joined the team they are 21 wins, 19 losses. So if the Bobcats make the playoffs do either Higgins/Jordon deserve Executive of the Year honors for hiring Larry Brown and trading J-Rich for Bell & Diaw?
In the east I could get a team the playoffs. The griz would be in the 7 spot fo' sho'. I don't care what people say, the east is an inferior conference. I'll give Jordan a break though.
Dumping J-Rich for Bell and Barbosa was a masterstroke for Charlotte and a very bad move for Phoenix.
Brown almost always does well with a new team (except in New York). He will wear out his welcome in about two or three years.
Cats are fun to watch with guys like Wallace and Augustin. They will be even more fun to watch once they change that horrendous logo. Props to their GM for making the move for Diaw and Bell. They got the steal, considering Phoenix is out of the playoff race right now.
Bobcats should have a better win-loss that what they are showing. They lost a few very close game that they should have won. No luck and Okafor sucks! Okafor is so pedestrian and his FT is "just like Shaq". I never understand why he gets paid 12 millions per. Terrible contract.
Ya, that's how I felt the other day. They have those couple of really good teams....then...NOTHING. West has the worst teams, but the teams headed to the playoffs are atleast > .500....lol.....>.600
who's is the bobcats owner? he seems to have no fear in swallowing bloated contracts, taking radmanovic, diop, and diaw who all fit under this category. not that they haven't improved the team, it's just that it might limit their flexibility down the road. i still don't understand the diop trade though, the dude is signed until the offseason of 2013 at the full MLE.
finishing 10 games under .500 will not get him any award, altrhough a pathetic record like that might get an 8th spot in the East. Adelman, Sloan, and B. Scott have done more to deserve COY...
Bob Johnson is their owner. To put it lightly, he isn't known as a free spender. I don't understand the Diop trade either.
