    Charlie V - 48 pts , 20-32 shooting, 6-11 Treys, 9 rebounds , 3 assists

Well i thought Toronto was stupid for drafting this dude but damn. Not including Wilt Chamberlain, is this the most points a rookie has ever scored? Field Goals made? Im suprised they even let him take 32 shots

What shocks me is 6-11 from 3 point land. I don't remember him having that kind of range in college.

What's even more amazing is that he put up these numbers without eyebrows.

Ya, Toronto really raised eyebrows (no pun intended) when they drafted Charlie V. so early. I didn't think he was ready for the NBA but it looks like he could be another Lamar Odom.

He has a scorer's mentality, unlike Odom, but can't handle the ball as well. He has a complete offensive game(not saying it's perfect, just that he's good at everything), just about experience and defense now.

Allen Iverson had plenty of 40+ and 50+ games his rookie year. Nice job by Villanueva regardless.

I guess Uconn could have used him today huh? Funny how he looked horrible playing for Uconn last year and is showing real skills now. Is Rudy Gay going to lead all rookies in scoring next year?

Obviously you didn't watch him play and only listened to analysts because he averaged 19 and 10 his last 15 games or so, hardly "horrible".

i'm happy for the guy. he works hard, comes off as respectful even to those people who dissed him so bad on draft day, and apparently he's one of the nicest guys on the squad. he's always signing autographs to a bunch of fans before heading off to the locker room. the raptors media loves him.

This guy is the next Donyell Marshall. Given enough minutes, he will average 18 and 9 with 1.8 3's and 1.8 blocks. Great for fantasy squads.

Sounds like a nice enough kid.

The problem is that you are stretching it to consider Bosh a center and stretching it even more to consider VIllanueva a SF, despite his semi-decent (33%) clip from 3 point land. As has been mentioned, not much of a ball-handler.

So Toronto has, potentially, their 2 best players at PF. They will need to trade 1 to become a better team, no?

That Noah kid from Florida seems like an apt comparison for Villanueva's NBA game.

in modern day slang you could and should compound "fug" (short for f*cking) and "ugly" (for ugly) into "fugly" instead of the common (actually not at all common) version that you used, "fugugly."

Bosh can play some minutes at center. If V can play some minutes at SF, they shouldn't have too much trouble getting both players their minutes. They don't need to hold the positions the whole game, just play a couple minutes each.
