Can someone please translate this into English? I feel this could potentially be interesting.

The interview was fine and it was funny. When he made the comment about the Rockets, he made fun of himself. There are plenty of things to jump all over Charles for. This isn't one of them.

well if u listen to the entire quote he actually followed it up with

"well it was kind of my fault, i couldn't play anymore, the coach was great the fans was great, but the team didn't like me because i couldn't play anymore"

    overall a very enjoyable interview

Kenny Smith: I gave my two championship rings to my brother and my father cause they are the ones that helped me in my life to get them.

Charles: You shoulda gave them to Hakeem.

IMHO Chuckles came to Houston expecting Dream to 'give him one'. After the great start things teetered and Barks bailed IMHO.

Make stuff up? '97 ended with the infamous bearhug. Check out that season because therein is my reference.

BTW - when have you ever heard me be a Chuckles hater?

I don't see a '1997 season' in your post, so I assume u meant his entire career in htown

'97 was the entire 'Barkley era' IMHO. When Rox didn't sleepwalk to the title he was never the same. Can it be seen any other way dispassionately?

Um, I guess you missed us going up 2-1 on Utah and about to finish them off before he got injured in 98, and coming into the 99 season in the best shape he'd been in in years?

I disagree. Barkley was clearly the most hungry Rocket when he arrived. He came into training camp out of shape on a regular basis. But it never took away from his competitiveness and fire. He left it on the court and gave it his all every game. There was a game against the Bulls when Drexler and Olajuwon were injured. The Rockets had no chance. But Barkley still fought his ass off until the game was over.

His 4 seasons with the Rockets were among his top 6 rebounding seasons of his career (based on rebounding%). For an aging player, I thought he did a good job for us. He was never a great defensive player, but offensively and on the boards I thought he was great.

Chuckles was fun to watch and root for... and at times methinks his Rox hate is an act...

But man if it don't frustrate a Rox fan!

Barkley's time with the Rockets was my favorite rockets time of all. Even over the championships. I'm regret we didn't win a championship with him in '97. Seeing the Rockets vs. Bulls in a Finals would've been one of the best Finals of all time. I hate Stockton.

IMO Barkley played the hardest of our superstars while he was a Rocket. He played for a low ball contract and committed to what the team/Rudy asked (becoming a monster rebounder 1st, scorer 2nd). The biggest problem with that team was both Hakeem and Charles were definently on the downside of their peaks--it further didn't help the front office never got the PG situation settled with a decent vet and had to scramble.

I do seem to remember at that period another superstar having difficulty being the 3rd wheel after being swept by the Sonics and retiring when he had some gas in his tank, and another superstar coming in being one of the most selfish, inflated ego, me first a-h*les to ever lace them up.
