Yup. That happened to me last Saturday. And I wasn't drunk. 19 hours in the slammer. Be careful. Not worth the risk. And if you do get completely hammered and drive, you are dumb. Anyone else been charged before? (I am fighting this BTW, big time.)
I had a friend get charged for that junk but in his case the idiot was drunk...he had to pay a ton of money and jump through all kinda hoops to get his life back. If you weren't drunk fight it dude, remember if the glove dont fit you must acquit.
Um yeah, so that might of been a problem. You should of just taken the tests, you might of been immediately vindicated and wouldnt of looked as bad to the po-po with your non-compliance.
I don't blame you for not taking the test. This is a heavy subject, but you've got to look out for yourself, especially if you know you were not legally drunk. I don't trust the Po on many occasions, so I can't say I would have taken any of the tests if put in your position. You'll have to keep us posted on how things turn out.
to clarify, I don't blame you for not taking the breathalyzer...but you should have done the blood test if that's all you had.
Whats with people coming in here complaining about getting DWI's and refusing tests? uhhh its called Don't drink and drive, not Don't get drunk and drive. If you have a bac of more than .08 and drive, you're dumb. You're also dumb if you refuse the blood test.
