Anyone else think this is one of the funniest shows on television? This week's episode was a spoof of the E! True Hollywood Story with Charlie Murphy (Eddie's older brother) telling supposedly true stories about Rick James (played by Chappelle). I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. "I'm Rick James, b****!"
Yes, definetly, the best 30mins in comedy on Prime Time right now hands down. His second season has been having great episode after great episode. The funniest one I had to say were the "Racial Draft", "3 Daves", "The N**** Family" (a white family with that last name, hilarious stuff), and the "White People do dance" w/ John Mayer skits were some I pretty much cried laughing. If you need a laugh, Dave Chapelle will make u laugh.
Btw, in reference to the Rick James episode: "You ever heard of the five finger joke?" SLAP Who cant laugh about that?
That ep had laughing for days. "Look everybody, Darkness is here." The joke is "What did the 5 fingers say to the face? Slap!!!" When Charlie Murphy kicks him into the mirror, that was the funniest moment to me.
I hear the DVD is unedited and unblurred http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00018YCIM/qid=1076827901//ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl74/104-6399264-8040709?v=glance&s=dvd&n=507846
Just started getting it down here in Oz. Damn fine show...just had the one where he's Godzilla rampaging Tokyo. But the funniest sketch was the 'Haters Awards'.
Yeah, the Playa Hater's Ball was one of the best from season 1. It's even funnier if you've ever seen the actual Player's Ball
I saw it for the first time the other night with my brother. We kept telling the five fingers joke to each other and that was just from the previews of the next show. Good stuff.
i dont think i have ever heard anyone say they didnt like him. i always thought he was better then most comedians.
This is hands down the funniest show on TV. I like how he yelled out "KOBE!" at the end of the opening "contract" skit with that chick from Boston Public "I wish I had more hands, so I could give those t*tties 4 thumbs down!" 'I would never stomp my feet on a couch like that. It doesnt make sense. Yeah I remember stomping my feet on his couch."
